Times Online and BT Business are looking for two students to go head to head
and demonstrate their entrepreneurial skills by developing an online
marketing campaign for London based healthy food delivery service The Pure
Package.
Two students will be selected at random from the entries received. These two
students will then be given a week to devise a campaign to increase The Pure
Package's online presence. They will pitch their ideas to The Pure Package's
founder Jennifer Irvine who will then choose the winner. During the week the
two students who are selected to compete against each other will receive:
- Their own space at a London office whilst developing the campaign
- A full briefing on The Pure Package
- The opportunity to spend time with Agency.com, a recognised London online
marketing agency, to discuss their ideas
- A laptop
- BT Business Total Broadband and a VOIP account
- Four nights accommodation in a hotel in London
- Travel costs
The winning campaign will earn the winning student a laptop, BT Business
Total Broadband Option 1 and a free VOIP line for the duration of their
degree course.

Terms and Conditions
1. The competition will run on www.timesonline.co.uk
website from September 19, 2007 to October 22, 2007
2. Closing date for entries is October 22, 2007
3. Unless otherwise stated, the competition is open to all students residing
in the UK aged 18 or over, except employees of Times Newspapers Limited
(“TNL”) BT and their associated, affiliated or subsidiary companies, and
their families, agents, or anyone connected with this competition, including
the third party promotional partners. Entrants may be on any year of their
current course.
4. Entry limited to one per person. The winner is responsible for ensuring
they are able to accept the prize as set out and in accordance with these
terms and conditions, in the event they are unable to do so then the BT
reserves the right to redraw the prize. Entrants should note that it is a
condition of this competition that they are available during the week
November 5 - 9, 2007.
5. Entry is free but entrants should be aware that they may be subject to
local call charges depending on their own individual arrangements for
Internet access.
6. An eligible entrant must be an individual and must submit an entry in the
form provided by TNL for BT under this promotion including their name,
address and e-mail address, at marketingcomp@timesonline.co.uk
7. By entering, all eligible entrants agree to abide by each and all these
terms and conditions. BT reserves the right, with or without cause, to
exclude entrants and withhold prizes for violating any of these terms and
conditions. BT reserves the right to amend these terms and conditions. Any
amendments will be published on the TNL Website.
8. For the first stage of the promotion, two entrants will be drawn at random
by an individual from BT and will be notified by telephone on or before
October 26, 2007. These two entrants (the “finalists”) will then progress to
the next stage of the promotion which consists of a competition. Each of the
finalists will be given one week to deliver a campaign to increase The Pure
Package’s online presence and will be required to present their campaigns to
the Pure Package Managing Director, Jennifer Irvine. This presentation will
be made on November 9, 2007. Campaigns must be the original and sole work of
the finalists. The winner will be the finalist whose campaign in the opinion
of the judge, demonstrates the greatest product knowledge, flair, technique
and originality.
9. Jennifer Irvine will select the winner and her decision will be final. The
winner will be informed by email or phone on or before November 16, 2007.
10. To assist with preparing the campaign each finalist will be given a full
briefing on The Pure Package, a meeting with Agency.com, their own space at
a London office, a laptop, BT Business Total Broadband and a VOIP account
for the duration of one week. Finalists will receive 4 nights’ accommodation
at a London hotel on a bed and breakfast basis only and transport costs
associated with the promotion during their stay in London i.e. to and from
the hotel/ office. Except as stated herein all other costs and expenses
incurred are the responsibility of the finalists.
11. The winner will receive a laptop, BT Business Total Broadband Option 1
and a VOIP account for free, for the duration of their course. The maximum
course length is 3 years (excluding any study time abroad).
12. The two finalists will retain copyright in their submitted campaign,
however by entering and in consideration of BT considering the campaign for
the prize, the finalists and each of them grants to BT a worldwide,
royalty-free, irrevocable, perpetual licence to use, adapt, edit publish,
broadcast and communicate to the public the campaign and each copyright work
forming part of the campaign for any purpose. The finalists and each of them
warrant that they are the sole authors of all copyright works submitted as
part of the campaign and are not aware of any claim by any other person to
be a joint author or copyright owner of any part of the campaign. The
finalists and each of them waive all moral rights to the extent that they
are able to do so under the provisions of the Copyright, Designs and Patents
Act 1988 as amended.
13. There is no cash or other alternative to the prize stated and the prize
is not transferable and no part or parts of the prize may be substituted for
other benefits, items or additions.
14. The winner may be required to submit valid identification before
receiving their prize.15.The promoter’s decision is final and binding on the
entrants. No correspondence will be entered into.
16. TNL and BT will not be liable for technical, hardware, or software
failures of any kind or lost or unavailable network connections which may
limit or prohibit an eligible entrant's ability to participate in the
competition. Other than death or personal injury arising from the acts or
omissions of TNL, BT, or their employees, TNL and/or BT will not be liable
for any loss or damage arising out of the winners enjoyment of the prize
17. By entering, any prize winners agree to allow the free use of their
names, photographs and general locations for publicity and news purposes
during this and future promotions by TNL or any associated or subsidiary
company of News International Limited or by BT and any associated or
subsidiary company.
18. Uses of personal data received by TNL or BT in the course of the
promotion are subject to each party’s privacy policy. Winners' names may be
published at Timesonline
19. BT reserves the right at any time to cancel, modify or supersede the
competition (including altering prizes) if, in their sole discretion, a
competition is not capable for being conducted as specified. BT reserves the
right to substitute a prize of equal value in the event that circumstances
beyond their control make this unavoidable.
20. The Promoters of this competition are British Telecommunications plc, 81

21. A list of the two finalists and the winner may be obtained by sending a
SAE to the Promoter at the address above marked 'BT/ Times Online
Competition', within 28 days of the closing date.
