The University of the Arts London does more than make its mark on the creative landscape of Britain, it is indelibly ingrained in it. It can count a significant tranche of the great and the good of the creative world among its alumni, from artists Anthony Gormley and Anish Kapoor to fashion designers Stella McCartney and Paul Smith.

Comprising Camberwell College of Arts, Central St Martins College of Art and Design, Chelsea College of Art and Design, London College of Communication, London College of Fashion and Wimbledon College of Art, there are excellent facilities, quality teaching and strong links with industry.

With just 5% of undergraduates entering via clearing, competition for places can be fierce, but Arts London continues to prop up the table for student satisfaction, suggesting it does not always deliver what students had hoped for.

Arts London expects the number of bursaries it gives out to increase. Scholarships offered include the Boris Johnson Bursaries award — given to journalism students at the London College of Communication.
