The distinctive turrets of Lanchester library which tower over the 33-acre city-centre campus are like something from a modern-day fairytale. But with so much going on, you are unlikely to see Rapunzel letting down her hair from the heights of the University of Coventry’s award-winning library — she is more likely to be found dancing as Girls Aloud play at the summer ball or getting involved in one of the 70 sports clubs and societies.
Loyal to its roots as a design college, art and design remains one of Coventry’s 12 subjects for which its teaching is rated excellent. Facilities are among the best in the UK, with a £7m refurbished 1930s cinema and industry-standard design suites.
This year’s additions to the course list include bike design, paramedic studies and fashion accessories.
