Edge Hill has invested £120m in facilities over the past decade. The most recent addition has been an £8m business and law school, which houses a lecture theatre, library and mock courtroom to facilitate practical learning for law students.

Set in 160 acres of grounds that combine original buildings from the 1930s with modern amenities, Edge Hill has a lakeside piazza and landscaped gardens and in the next 10 years plans to spend £200m on more student rooms among other things, and a new students’ union.

As well as £500 bursaries to all students who receive a full maintenance grant the university offers a tuition fee remission for siblings of £1,000.

With more than 120 years of teacher training experience, Edge Hill now holds the largest ever contract to deliver continuing professional development for teachers in the country.
