It may not be as healthy as a freshly squeezed juice, but Pepsi claim their new drink is made from all natural ingredients.
Pepsi Raw, which will initially only be launched in the UK, is the first drink the multi-national cola brand has added to its range in more than ten years.
Pepsi claims the new drink is made from natural ingredients and contains no artificial preservatives, colours, flavourings or sweeteners and that by replacing corn syrup with cane sugar, it has managed to reduce the calorie content of a 300ml bottle from around 120 calories to around 90 calories.
The drink apple extract, plain caramel colouring, coffee leaf, tantaric acid from grapes, gum arabic from acacia trees, cane sugar and sparkling water. It is paler in colour and less fizzy than other cola brands.
Traditionally, Pepsi contains fructose corn syrup, sugar, artificial colourings, phosphoric acid, caffeine, citric acid and natural flavours.
The company hopes that the introduction of Pepsi Raw will compete for a greater share of the cola market and help knock rival Coca-Cola off its soft drinks perch, Pepsi has added a new drink to its range for the first time in more than ten years.
The company hopes that the introduction of Pepsi Raw will compete for a greater share of the cola market from the leader Coca-Cola and at the same time it will capitalise on the growing consumer demand for more natural products.
The UK cola market is worth £6 billion a year and is dominated by the two companies that have been rivals for more than 100 years.
Pepsi marketing director, Bruno Gruwez, said: “We are really proud that the UK is leading the way with the launch of Pepsi Raw, which is the most significant innovation from Pepsi UK in the last 15 years.”
Initially, Pepsi Raw will only be available in selected bars and clubs in seven cities — London, Manchester, Glasgow, Brighton, Birmingham, Leeds and Liverpool, although a wider roll-out is expected later in the year.

Still not good to have the sugar - It's bad for the teeth and makes kids fat.
Almost, London,
It may not be that 'Healthy' but it tastes much better than the average cola drink and comes in a great traditional bottle - even better is on sale at Asda! I'll definitely be buying more!
Richie, Edinburgh, UK

Pepsi Raw saw it in Waitrose, tried it, love it. And the glass bottle blast from the past. The first carbonated drink with a good taste.
Tony Inman, Dudley, West Midlands

Katie, High Wycombe, England
I thank Pepsi for the new Raw Pepsi as I had a wonderful Christmas and New Year's eve, being able to drink a soft drink.. I am suffering of a heavy metal poisoning causing a food, drinks and medication intolerance. Please put this drink at Victoria Coach station and on the ferries.
brigitte verhauwaert, South Ockendon, England
Did Pepsi miss the fact that sugar feeds cancer cells & contributes to osteoporosis and diabetes (and a million and one other dis-eases) - 'healthy' it most definitely is NOT!
Kaycee, Essex, UK
Pepsi have introduced this 'Healthy' drink to the high end market in Europe if they really care, why don't they sell it to children in schools and poor countries where they continue to peddle their poisonous drinks that contributes to obesity and poor dental health in the young and the vulnerable?
Helen, London, United Kingdom
Market Analyst, Kelly Quinn remarked a few days ago, "Raw is an empassioned plea by Pepsi to the drink market not to forget that it remains more viable even than RC Cola".
I think she might be right.
Grant Burrow, London, UK
My favorite all natural beverage is still water, maybe with a slice of lemon with it.
