Dipped berries

Melt some good dark chocolate (70 per cent cocoa solid). Then, holding each strawberry by its stem, dip into the chocolate so that half the berry is covered. Lay on waxed paper and leave to set

Dessert in a glass

Layer up crushed amaretti biscuits, Greek yoghurt, honey and strawberries in glasses, finishing with fresh berries

Super smoothie

Blitz a banana with about eight large strawberries and a spoonful of yoghurt

Strawberry chocolate ‘tapas'

Cut chocolate brownies into small squares, spoon some thick cream on to each square and top with a strawberry (point facing upwards). Secure with cocktail sticks and serve on big platters

Berry tart

Roll out puff pastry to 25cm x 30cm, prick all over and bake on a non-stick baking sheet at 200C/gas 6 for 15 minutes or until golden and risen. Turn over, press to flatten and bake for another five minutes or so until golden and flaky. Cool, spread with mascarpone, sweetened to taste, top with strawberries and dust with icing sugar
