Why are there no participating resteraunts in North Wales?
you only need to ask and there care some good resteraunts about.
jill, Bangor,
I purchased 3 bottles of Bordeaux wine from Waitrose that had a wine and dine offer. I sent the tokens off with proof of purchase approx 4 weeks ago and received only 2 offers on the 29/1/09 only valid til the 31/1/09 to use them.
Linda King, Leigh on Sea, England
I booked lunch at Cafe Rouge, Bristol on 26 November. While awaiting my friend, I saw that 2 courses were £7-90: lunch for £10 with a glass of wine was no great bargain! Finally we got the staff's attention, they told us we'd have to wait 40 minutes before food arrived because they were "busy".
Graham, Bristol,
The Sand Bar which is listed as The wine and Dine £10 offer restaurant already has runs an Early Bird meal which is 2 courses for £10.
Surely there must be other restaurants to sample within Southend Area!!!
Very poor choice
Why did I collect the tokens!
Pauline, Leigh on Sea,
ZOOM in on the map and there are more restaurants visible. It's like google map, click arrow right, left, up or down to area you are looking for. Double click on restaurant name and do google search for more details
Best wishes!
tony somervell, Bedford, UK
Poor selection of restaurants. Altogether disappointing compared with previous years - can see only one anywhere near enough to be worth the drive in an area where there are plenty of restaurants. Not a problem with the interactive map.
Ann, Lymington,
Poor website - difficult to get details of restaurants.
Went out for a meal tonight. Menu poor - The only main course I could eat had already been sold out at 7.30pm with only one person in the restuarant.!Chief said that "the hot pot" and that the chief mentioned had been made the previous day!
John David Chandler, Kempston, Beds
Very disappointed in the number of restaurants that you have in the nottingham area, I don't think this offer is up to your usual standard for the Times newspaper,
Jilly Russell, Ravenshead, UK
Is Loch Fyne participating as a group ?..... there is no mention of them
Peter Hastrop, poole,
Are there really no restaurants in Hull, Scunthorpe, Grimsby or Lincoln willing to participate? Very poor coverage for this part of the country. Have had to give my tokens away to friends.
HJC, Barton-upon-Humber, England
I found the map easy to use however, the number of participating restaurants in my area are much reduced and I need lunch time deals in disabled friendly places. I probably wont be able to use the vouchers this time.
Janet Haynes, Alton, Hampshire
Your interactive map is useless, as it does not show the name and address of the participating restaurant I am looking for.
Karen Larkin, High Wycombe, Bucks
Where are the resturants in Surrey please?!
Catherine Harden, Reigate,
Where is the token in the Saturday Times for 27 September? I can't see it!!
Imogen, London,
As is normal with items originating in England - N Ireland is not a part of the UK.
Brian Leith, Bangor, N Ireland
pull the map down using the hand icon and you'll see all the details
deb atkinson, southport,
Can Northern Ireland Join In? We're on the map but there are no details of participating restaurants.
Angela, Belfast,
Map very difficult to operate. I can not understand why I can not download a simple list (by county) of participating restaurants.
Laurie Jennings, Penn, UK
This is useless. Can't see any restaurant names at all.Did anyone actually try and use it before it was published? An old fashioned list would be perfect, this is frustrating and doews not give ANY information.
Pat Smith, Brighton, East Sussex
Cannot find the voucher in Sunday Times 21st September! I must be missing it each time I search. Can anybody direct me to it? Thank you
Christine, sheffield, s yorkshire
After initial difficulty, I found the map easy to manage. However I agree that it is not a great design. Main problem is the lack of any restaurants in this area that are worth a visit. There appear to be less with every Times promotion. I cannot see that I will be partaking.
John McInerney, Harrogate, North Yorkshire
I agree with the previous comments -very unprofessional - map needs to be enlarged - also can't read names of resturaunts without scrolling on map - sign of modern times - anything will do!
j lapping warwick
j lapping, warwick,
What are all these people on about? Click on the wine glass symbol and when white bubble appears, click on MAP (not bubble) to drag it down - you will see the name and address of restaurant quite easily. It's not rocket science... However, no restaurants in Edinburgh!
clare, Edinburgh,
Can't use the map on the internet, the name of the restraunt is hidden. Could you please sort this out and issue a proper list that does not need the map. Thanks.
Mich, Marlborough,
Map is impossible to use. Please print list.
julie ellis, weymouth, dorset
Agree, absolutely useless cant read restaurant names, just print a list
Michelle, Colchester, Essex
inverness is 45 miles away, why can't the Spey valley resturants parcipitate?
Maureen French, Kingussie, Highland
Ditch the map! Let's have a plain old fashioned list please!
Llinos Metcalf, Cardiff, Wales
yes, could you add a postcode search facility. That map is no use to anyone!
Ruth Hutchins, Stourbridge, west
"Unable to read restaurant names. What a pity you have such disregard for your readers. This information needs to be easily accessible".
Restaurant names can be read if you bother to drag the window further down !!!!
Derek Jones, High Legh, Cheshire
No map visible.
how do I get to see a list of participating restaurants?
.pdf token downloads but there's nothing there!
Peter Lorimer, Sheffield, UK
Where can I find a list of all participating restaurants? When I use your map only the days when the offer is available show not the name or address of the restaurant!
S L Price, Wolverhampton, UK
Unable to read restaurant names. What a pity you have such disregard for your readers. This information needs to be easily accessible.
Mike Wood, Surrey,
Get a grip The Times - we have the vouchers but have no idea which restaurants they apply to. Why not just print a list, that will work.
Tilly West, Chelmsford, England
Can anyone tell me where to find the token in Sunday times (scottish version) My husband and I cannot find it at all.
susan, Ayrshire,, Scotland
You can move the map around by clicking and dragging next to the speech bubble.
Dean, Widnes,
To sort the map problem. Click the Wine Glass symbol so that you get the telephone number up. Then click on a blank part of the map and use the hand sybol to "move the map" downwards. This will then reveal the rest of the information about the restaurant.
Carol Davies, Shrewsbury, Shropshire
Useless map and of no use to us as can't identify the restaurants. Where are the restaurants in Wiltshire? nothing in our area near Devizes. Very disappointed
Lynne Rayner, DEVIZES, Wiltshire
Are you going to sort the map out. Although I can see that there is a participating restaurant locally, I can't see who they are.
Nigel Mercy, Peterborough,
Please take note of the comments about the map - it is hopeless. All we can get is a telephone number.
Jackson, Stone, Staffordshire
Position the map further down the page so we can see which restaurants are participating . very frustrating!!!!!!
P.Allan, Maidenhead, UK
The map is not very clear and you can't see name of rest
aurants. Why can't you publish a list? Also hardly any in this area (Banstead)
Jan Belton, Banstead, Surrey
I still cannot use the map!!!! - the names of restaurant does not appear - very confusing, very difficult just put a list on the website can you please?????
Linda Braham, Essex, United Kingdom
Yes I agree cannot see the names of the restaurants only the phone numbers and so can't see what type of restaurant they are or where they are exactly.
Ann Kavanagh, Enfield, Middlesex
Why are no restaurants in Newcastle participating when they have been for the past 3 years? :o(
Gayle Hetherington, Newcastle upon Tyne, UK
Just tried to use the map to see what was available locally. You need someone to look at your web design, the flag for the restaurants is not viewable, you can only see the post code and cannot move it up or down to view the whole 'flag'.
Steve Baguley, Hope Cove,
First restaurant I contacted said they were not participating!!
Richard, Retford, UK
The restaurants in Birmingham are all Cafe Rouge.
Ann, Birmingham,
I am always disappointed by these promotions. There just aren't any restaurants you'd want to go to
Caroline, Taunton, UK
No restaurant offers in Northern Ireland, as usual!
McKinney, Belfast, Northern Ireland
I agree the map facility is not great, but once you see the "speech bubble" come up move your curser aside until the pointer changes to a hand then you can hold down the left mouse button to "grap" the map and move it about until the whole name and address becomes visible.
Martin, Reading, UK
I have tried to book the three course meal and wine tasting on 13th Oct by phone and via your website without success.
After giving a lot of information on the phone, before it was concluded the phone went dead. The web address in todays magazine appears to be incorrect. Is this offer for real?
Kenneth Lee, Little Dunmow, Essex
Did you really mean to make the online token so large??
alan walker, swindon, uk
Cannot find details in paper & cannot access at timesonline.co.uk/dine with wine. Via another route
on the map Manchester area covered up so you cannot read it.
J Davis, Chestefield,
The map is not that bad. Pull the map down once part of the restaurant details are visible to see the full detail.
In London most seem to be Cafe Rouge.
M Hardmann, London,
I agree with the previous comments that it is impossible to see the name of the restaurant. Other than telephoning and asking the restaurant their name there is no way of knowing the restaurants listed.
P Rosamond, Knebworth, Herts, UK
The interactive map is dreadful, I cannot view the restaurant names!
Kim, Luton, UK
