Ramsay reveals his favourite places to eat out
THE GUESTS
‘Tana my wife. Chris Moyles, guaranteed to provide a lot of entertainment. Pelé, an incredible sportsman and perhaps the greatest footballer of all time. He has made some fantastic contributions to the sport and could give me a few tips on how to stop my son Jack scoring so many goals against me! My mum, to keep us all in check and my sister Dianne. And lastly, Victoria and David Beckham who are good friends and are always great fun.’
THE WAITERS
‘Ainsley Harriott and Gary Rhodes.’
WHO’S WASHING UP?
‘Antony Worrall Thompson – I wouldn’t let him near the cooking.’
RECIPE FOR SUCCESS?
‘I like it when guests pitch in to help. How can you enjoy yourself when you’re stuck in the kitchen all night behind a hot stove? Dinner parties should be fun and that includes fun for the host, too.’
WHAT WOULD RUIN IT?
‘Probably a guest having too many glasses of wine. I’m lucky to have never experienced that, but I can imagine very drunk guests would ruin the evening, or bad food. I don’t get invited to many dinner parties, but I once went to a lunch where we were served a really horrific rib of beef. It was dry and crumbled before it hit my plate.’
THE MENU
Poached quail's eggs with celery salt and homemade pork scratchings with apple sauce

Beef Wellington with pomme puree
Mum's bakewell tart and custard

To drink: Puligny-Montrachet Domaine Leflaive Le Clavoillon 1992 and Chateau Haut Brion 1982
