2 for 1 tickets to Singin' In The Rain, this coming Monday. Book now
Welcome to the annual Style beauty awards, the only beauty awards voted for by you, the readers. All you need to do is nominate your favourite products and, if you are one of the first 3,000 readers to send in your nominations, you will win a free Garnier Eye Roll-On worth £10.
This is your chance to tell us — and everyone else — about the products you love, whether it’s the perfume that leaves admirers swooning in your wake, the body cream that helps you to embrace your curves, or the foundation that delivers supermodel skin. If it has made it into your beauty arsenal, we think it deserves a mention.
After all, you seem to have a knack of knowing what makes a good beauty buy. Last year’s winners continue to be huge commercial successes: since launching, Max Factor Masterpiece Max mascara (your favourite lash lengthener) flies off the shelves at a rate of one every five seconds; 3.5 John Frieda Frizz-Ease Hair Serums (your best hair-styling treatment) were sold every minute in 2007. And Clinique reckons that if it stacked up every bottle of Superbalanced Makeup (your preferred foundation) ever shipped, the pile would be 152 times as high as Mount Everest.
Despite the fact that many of your chosen buys are backed by costly advertising campaigns, which no doubt help to propel them into your consciousness, these remain the products that you return to time and time again, because, quite simply, they work. You’ve told us that Dermalogica skincare products are “the only ones that make a visible and lasting difference”, and that using Dr Hauschka makes you feel “worthy” in the best possible way. You stand by The Body Shop Body Butter because “even at the end of the day, skin feels nourished, and it is great value for money”, while Clinique’s Superbalanced Makeup gives you a second skin to be proud of: according to one fan, “it really evens out patchy skin to give a soft, light coverage that doesn’t look fixed, even though it is oil-free”.
So, this year, what did it for you? Me, I loved Chloé’s utterly pretty rose and amber perfume, Dr Lowe’s high-performing yet wallet-friendly skincare, IS Clinical’s Youth Complex skin plumper, Shu Uemura’s luxurious Art of Hair range, Kiehl’s Creme de Corps Body Polish — a thick skin-sloughing paste — and YSL’s Perfect Touch foundation, which gives the skin luminosity no matter how washed out it really is.
Luckily, I have a whole year in which to source new beauty finds and extol their virtues, but the Style Beauty Awards are more democratic than that. They are about what you spend your hard-earned cash on — the products that have found their way into your make-up bags, bathrooms and hearts. So, over to you.
Voting has now closed - and the results will be published in The Sunday Times and Times Online on the 11th May 2008.

When you go on holiday always pack a strapless bra and Vaselines new repair balm. That way if you do get tanned and dont want to peel, your bra straps won't rub on your shoulders and you can stay perfectly moisturised with the protective balm !!! You'll keep your tan a lot longer !!!

My favorites are Nivea and Avent...try L'Oreal Derma Genesis for under the eyes and don't forget John Frieda's hair serum on those more humid days!!!
oleary, middletown, wales
As a student I have to strike the balance between cost and quality of products; I cannot usually afford expensive brands such as YSL, Lancome etc.
Pantene Colour Expressions is the best shampoo/conditioner.
Tresemme heat protecting spray for hair styling product
My favourite foundation is Loreal Matte Cashmere
Best ethical brand is body shop - particularly body butters, sumptuous and fruity
Best beauty advice is moisturiser - I never leave home without it and a high SPF
Clinique do a great cream blusher called 'Touch Blush'.
Generally, Loreal is my favourite brand for products that work, I use derma genesis which is excellent, and I love their self tan range, particularly the shimmering tinted gels. Boots come a close (cheaper alternative) second with their Soltan range but Loreal tends not to come off as much on clothing.
I like Bourjois eyeshadow and also ME ME ME eyeshadows which are value for money and come in a wide range of glittery colours.

REAL miracle product that works for spots is living nature's rescue gel, because of the manuka honey..ive tried clinique, garnier, and others on spots but this one actually works cos of the antimicrobial properties of honey.
only problem is the smell; one friend described it as a rotting food smell, but to be honest, i can sacrifice a night smelling like rotted food and have clear skin the next day, any day! :)

A present of which i received for last Christmas was a Time Delay Micro-dermabrasion Kit from Boots Skincare range. It leaves your skin feeling amazing. It's usually £9.99, but at the moment is half price at only £4.99. I now use this all of the time i would not be without it.Thank you very much to my sister for buying me this product in the first place.

Remmel lipstick gloss gives a very refreshing look.
also a light boots bronze powder.
oil of olay works well with my skin giving back the moisture an the healthy look .
this is also good for skin toning an to help you against weather damage.
maybelline dream mousse is very a very good product. when you get the right tone colour,
it moves well over the skin a leaves a floor less look . that can take you though the whole day.
i also like the remmel mascara. it gives you the longer lash look an isn't to gunky on the eye lashes. it can also hold up against harsh weather . ie it doesn't run .

my best beauty buy is a cream that fades blemishes and tones out the skin. this would usually be more for ethnic skin' because patchy colour and blemishes is more occurent with this type of skin. I used the cream after my pregnancy because the change in hormonal balance during pregnancy caused a reaction to my skin. resulting in deep coloured blemishes all over. the cream helped the blemishes to vanish within a couple of months. i still use now and again for the odd one or two bemishes or just to tone out my skin a bit. The cream is vantex skin tone cream by fashion fair.
