Directors of TV programme maker RDF Media, the firm behind the BBC documentary whose trailer wrongly implied the Queen had stormed out of a photo shoot, have shown their confidence in the firm by increasing their shareholdings.
Chief executive David Frank bought 12,913 shares at 230p each, to bring his holding to about 4.9m shares, or 12.7% of the company. Chief creative officer Stephen Lambert bought 12,747 shares at 233p, upping his stake to 2.6m shares, or 6.7% of the company.
The share price slid after the BBC said it would not commission any more shows from the firm until the publication of an inquiry into the documentary, A Year With The Queen, at the end of September.
The shares plummeted below 200p when ITV also suspended new commissions.
Duncan Soukup, nonexecutive director of CSS Stellar, sold all but 50,000 of his shares in the talent agency after a failed attempt to replace board members.
In an effort to seize control, he unsuccessfully tried to vote off the board earlier this month. The rebuff triggered Soukup to sell about 8.5m shares at 44p each, raising about £3.7m and reducing his stake in the company to 0.17%.
Nicholas Gold, meanwhile, increased his control over voting rights in CSS Stellar to 29.7% through a mixture of direct holdings, contracts for difference and spread bets.
In March, CSS announced results that were ahead of expectations. Turnover from continuing operations rose 13.6% to £31.6m.
Directors have in-depth knowledge of their businesses, so it can pay to track their moves. Every week Digitallook.com reveals the bosses who have bought or sold big stakes.
