Times Online now offers two different perspectives on the events of the day on its homepage.

Users overseas are offered a new global edition when they first visit the homepage but can switch between it and a more UK-focused page. UK users will first see the UK edition but can also switch to the global edition and choose to bookmark that if they prefer the international flavour.

The global edition offers greater emphasis on issues of world interest from the correspondents and opinion writers of The Times and The Sunday Times - the leading UK quality newspapers behind the website. The UK edition gives more prominence to domestic news.

The new option gives Times Online's almost eight million readers in the UK and overseas a window into the world view of our writers and commentators, and of our readers through our Debate section.

In an increasingly hectic media world, Times Online and The Times and The Sunday Times, aim to offer clarity and insight.
