Welcome to this year's charity appeal in aid of three unique and innovative organisations.
This year's charities provide solar power to villages in Africa, free counselling for troubled children and help prisoners to rehabilitate through needlework.
Times readers helped to raise over £1 million for last year's charity appeal, making it our most successful. This year we hope to exceed that total so that these three charities can benefit even more from your generosity.

Zurich Community Trust will match donations to Place2Be, up to £100,000
Donations to Fine Cell Work will be matched by a consortium of foundations including the Michael Varah Memorial Fund. The MVMF was set up in the memory of Michael Varah, a Chief Probation Officer, who saw first hand the benefits of a rehabilitative approach to dealing with offenders. This charitable fund works in partnership to reduce offending, including by enabling marginalised people realise the skills they never thought they had.
