I went to our local crossroads scheme for young carers to offer practical help for a child carer , but I was told the only scheme they had was helping with the youth club . While I can see the value of the club , why deprive a family the offer of practical help with cleaning , shopping etc?
If anyone can help me to help someone in this situation please let me know ( south Wales)

I was most profoundly moved by the courage of the 2 young people (Christian and Lauren). No child should have to put up with such a huge emotional burden with little or no interest from central government. That a charity is needed to give these heros the support and assistance they so desperately need is an appalling indictment of this government, who presumably see no votes in it. Our Christmas gifts to friends and family this year will be a donation to the Princess Royal Trust for Carers.
