A controversial planning application has just been made to build a new state-of-the-art biological facility at the top-secret Porton Down military science park to fight the growing threat of terrorism.
Special laboratories will be built at the “centre of expertise” to help to fight the risk of germ warfare and create vaccines for biological threats and deadly illnesses.
It is understood that some of the country’s top scientists will be based at the park. A spokesman said: “It will help to fight the terrorist threat and also any outbreaks of deadly diseases. It will be a biological science park.” The facility would be built on land owned by the Ministry of Defence at the present site.
It is thought that the work done in the new park by satellite companies will be used by other organisations at Porton Down.
The application by the Porton BioScience and Technology Centre to Salisbury District Council includes building new laboratories, offices, roads and car parks.
If the plan is approved, the park should be operational in two years.

I may just be paranoid, but what's to stop the development and production of germ warfare against the citizens of the world at this new facility? Are we just so trusting of the biggest terrorists in the world that we believe our protection is the purpose of this facility?

More biological weapons to be used on us, they really are trying awfully hard to depopulate the Earth. Obviously they do not need us useless eaters anymore, now they have their technology, but the Human spirit will win out in the end and protect us against these evil maniacs. Look at the skies, they are already using these weapons on us.

If it's top secret, how do you know about it?
More to the point, this is hardly news. I don't recall being informed every time MacDonalds opens a new restuarant building that they're in the business of serving food.
