MANCHESTER When Zak, a five-year-old alsatian with “anxiety issues” that had savaged four children and two adults, was sent to an animal psychologist, he bit him too, Minshull Street Crown Court was told.
Ian Donnelly, 58, of Oldham, who spent £20,000 trying to save his pet, was convicted of owning a dog causing injury while dangerously out of control and breaching an ASBO. He was given a 12-month jail term suspended for two years and banned from keeping animals for ten years. Zak is to be put down.

Finally, justice has been done.
I once adopted an abandoned dog with similar problems - although I didn't know it at the time. I did attempt to rectify the situation with a trainer, but once I saw him try and attack a group of children while we were out for a walk, I knew there was no way the problem could be fixed. He was destroyed shortly afterwards.
I can't believe this owner allowed the dog to savage FOUR children! How totally irresponsible. At the end of the day, it's just a dog. Children are far more precious and there's no way such a risk should have been taken.

I am sorry I dont unserstand that a dog that 'savaged' four children was not put down ?!
