Deepcut to be bulldozed for homes
Deepcut barracks in Surrey, where four young recruits were found shot dead amid accusations of bullying, is to be sold to developers. Des Browne, the defence secretary, is expected to make the announcement on Tuesday. Ministry of Defence sources say the site, near Camberley, will retain a military presence, but most of it will be bulldozed to make way for housing.
Two held over teenager’s killing
Two men were arrested last night after a teenage boy was stabbed to death and two others injured at a flat in Erith, southeast London.
