I salute you prince harry, You are a credit to yourself and the world of the free opposed to the tyranny of the Taliban. So few who have the choice of whether to fight or not choose to do it, instead leaving the burden with the poor and less privaliged.
you are an inspiration and i wish you luck as i wish the rest of the Allied armed forces.
Alex, Coventry, UK
I see there was only one token letter over the weekend that was not in support of this. All the other letters published were pro-Harry-in-Afghanistan. Has everyone forgotten the work his poor mother was doing to rid the world of bombs???
Pamela , Maroochydore, Australia Qld
God Bess Harry, and all of the British, American, Polish, Danish, and all of the armed forces from the world who are keeping us free from the kind of tyranny that the taliban imposes!
THANK YOU!
May the taliban get a royal thrashing from the defenders of freedom!!!!!!!!
Lori, San Diego,CA, USA
Very impressive Harry. Too bad the press had to intervene before your tour was over. You have earned the respect of your fellow soldiers and countrymen making us all proud.
Denis, Saskatoon, Canada
As an American of English descent I have several things to say: Love that red hair! And, Harry, you go for it! Do whatever you want to do. Don't let family(so what if they're royal) expectations dictate your path.

what a farce, i doubt that he is anywhere near where there is any action, all our servicemen that have died in iraq are being mocked by him. "enjoy being here" yes im sure he does knowing he can leave any time he wants. Hes going to have to try harder than that to win me over.
paul, wolverhampton,
Prince Harry has gone through a lot in his life. Living in the shadow of an older brother, losing his mother at an early age, and having his adolescence, which we all go through, scrutinized and mocked in the press. It takes a great man to rise above this and to strive to be a better man. There is no better test of man, than how he behaves under battlefield conditions. Watching him speak on interview, Prince Harry shows the quiet humility and the wisdom of real greatness.
Prince Harry, thank you for inspiring us all. I hope this is the beginning of a great life for you. I don't think you realize how you are a credit to a long history of kings and queens in Europe, who never dared to risk and give so much for their own. No one deserves the title of Prince more than you.
Peter Villacorta, Oxnard, USA/ California
Thank you Prince Harry!! Too bad we couldn't have a prince for president '08.
Alex Anderson, Rocklin , CA
I wish the press would leave him to get on with the job that he has trained to hard for...... the press need to think about what's important and not what's going to make headlines and money

Is that haircut normal in the british army?
Pinaster, Madrid,
Hats off to HRH Prince Harry.!
raj, manchester, uk
To be a soldier is a decison that he has made. It has already been planted in his heart so it will be hard to take that decision away.

As an American whose ancestors all came from various corners of the UK, I can say I feel quite proud to see Prince Harry "up the sharp end" and having a go at Johnny Paythan. Its heartwarming to see our longest-term ally still playing an active role in these trying times. Best of British, (and American), Luck and safe home soon to everyone out there.
