After the way the world reacted to her divorce settlement with Sir Paul McCartney, Heather Mills might have been expected to keep a low profile.
Today, though, the woman who only weeks ago claimed she wanted to close a chapter on her life gave scribes something new to write about, with another explosive appearance on breakfast television.
The former model admitted throwing water over Sir Paul's lawyer, Fiona Shackleton, at the end of their divorce battle, saying that she did so in order to “cleanse and baptise” her after she muttered something under her breath.
And she taunted Sir Paul about his new love life, claiming he was currently dating three women and adding: “I wish all the girls the best of luck.”
Ms Mills, whose outspokenness and touchpaper temper has become a trademark of her interviews, also criticised the judge in the former couple’s recent High Court case for handing down a “one-sided judgment”.
In an interview with GMTV's This Morning — on which she launched her infamous outburst about alleged mistreatment by Sir Paul and the tabloid press — she took issue with the judge’s report that she had been “explosive and volatile” during the case.
Ms Mills played down the criticisms contained in the judgment, claiming that the “explosive” comment was the only bad thing that the judge had to say about her and that this was based on her previous GMTV appearance, rather than her behaviour in court. His conclusion that she was indulging in “make-believe” was simply wrong, she added, adding that she was seeking to have the transcripts from the court case published to make the truth known.
Speaking by video-link from Las Vegas, where she is involved in the Miss USA competion, Ms Mills said of Sir Paul: “I think he’s got three different girlfriends so I wish all the girls the best of luck....better than me.”
Since the divorce, the former Beatle has been pictured in newspapers on holiday in the Caribbean with Nancy Shevell, an American heiress. He has also been linked to Rosanna Arquette, an actress and Tanya Larrigan, the former Olympic horse rider.
Ms Mills, who was awarded £24.3million by Mr Justice Bennett, described her divorce battle with Sir Paul as akin to “David versus Goliath”. She vowed to continue the battle to restore her reputation, saying that she was fighting three libel cases and that “the truth always outs in the end”.
The charity campaigner said that she did not regret defending herself in the case, a decision she took after falling out with her lawyers, Mischcon de Reya. Nor she did not regret dousing Ms Shackleton with water.
“The trial happened, it finished, I was thanked by the judge, and that was the end of that,” she said.
“I went back to the court, and Paul’s lawyers and him argued to have the judgment put out with all my daughter’s private information and our private information on this one-sided judgment. And Mrs Shackleton said something under her breath so I cleansed and baptised her.
“I thought she looked fantastic — I thought it did her the world of good and now I’ve been offered lots of jobs for creating looks for women of her age, with these kind of hair-dos.”

Heather Mills, from this side of the pond, displays all the symptoms of Mad Cow Disease, and should accordingly be put out of her misery. By ignoring someone obviously suffering the addiction of Hoof-In-Mouth Disease a great service would be done for both your readers and the afflicted. I can only hope Sir Paul quickly recovers from his protracted exposure to one so unbalanced, and his youngest daughter is somehow protected from her influence.
Jere Jones, Hazel, USA, Kentucky
To Robert Johnson and his fatuous remark that he "has no doubt that PM is not the faultless 'nice guy' he tries to make out he is"... on what inside information do you base that sentient deduction? Or are you just such a great judge of character of anyone you only know through the media. Mills produced not one iota of evidence of abuse by Paul and yet has amply displayed her own uncontrolable volatility, amply demonstrated in her frequent irrational and vitriolic outbursts; not to mention her propensity for physical violence as evidenced by her gratuitous assualt on Fiona Shackleton. If you truly so admire her, perhaps we can all suggest more deserving heroes for you to look up to.
Jim McLaughlin, Calgary, Canada
History has happened twice for Paul McC - the first time as drama, the second time as comedy. This wasn't his first partnership to end up dragged through the courts and acrimony shot back and forth through the press.
T. J. Cassidy, Arlington, Virginia, U.S.A.
I turned over to BBC as soon as I knew she was coming on.
Why do ITV insist on giving her airtime?
BBC Breakfast has gained 2 more viewers.
Paul, Notts,
When a man is married to a women for four years there should not be a requirement that he pay for her for the rest of his life. Men don't owe women lifetime servitude or 50 million dollars because women live with them for 4 years. True--even when the females in question are leeches out to extort $$$ from the people who's talents and hard work EARN money..
That the judge's "explosive" assessment of Mills (she insists this was merely in relation to a previous GMTV appearance) was the ONLY "bad" thing the judge had to say about her from the bench speaks to Mills credibility--not to say her non existent ethics and sanity.
Let shiftless slacker Mills get off her lazy 39 year old rear-end and support the 63 year old McCarthy (the SOLE bread earner)for a change.
Warning: People do not hold your collective breath.
Question: Does the parasitic Mills truly require meal ticket McCarthy to pay her 39 thousand pounds per annum on wine when she doesn't EVEN drink?
cathy hansen, ruckersville, Virginia, USA
Her Hair is a decent colour now, at least . Pre- trial 'do' looked like a home job ! She didn't appear to have checked the rear view mirror of her head ! Too consumed with looking at her face, perhaps. And that suit ! - no design tips picked-up from Stella then.
Chiara, london,
Why doesn't this vile women disapear. She's done what she intended to do. on that score it's mission accomplished she has 10s of millions of somebody elses money. But now she wants the public to view a sacred cow like paul mccartney as some kind of monster? it aint gonna happen. Hes one of two last of the living legendary beatles and one half of one of the best song writing teams ever....she needs to release this and like i said disapear from public view..if only for a month...
simon lomax, warrington, uk
Who actually cares.......tell me about how and where she spends her fortune on charity work, that she promised !!!!!

'...a one-sided divorce judgment'?
That's right. Please remember that HE paid YOU.
As for having three girlfriends, I think Ms Mills is missing the point. Sir Paul is quintessentially British in his approach and measured in his demeanor, and that is why we British automatically warm to him. I couldn't care if he had three girlfriends or thirty of them. Because he conducts his private life in a private way it really doesn't matter.
Mike Hart, London, UK
That is one ugly woman in every sence. What on earth was in Paul McCartney;s mind
saratoga, villeneuve,
What reputation is Ms Mills trying to restore? That of a woman lacking in intelligence, dignity or morals? You don't need to 'restore' anything Ms Mills - your true personality is there for all to see every time you open your mouth. If you haven't quite worked this out yet you clearly need to read comments such as the many that appear here. Only those with an equally warped sense of self could possibly support you - in the main most people here see you for what you truly are. If you want the public's support then you have to learn to behave like a decent human being. There are always two sides to every story so please tell us Ms Mills what part you played in the downfall of your marriage. Those who treat others with respect and care generally get that in return. Your ex - husband has never spoken out against you tho' I'm sure he must have been sorely tempted at times. Please go away , learn how to be a proper person and concentrate on bringing up your daughter to be a proper person.
JJ, Leicester, England
Hey paul could have had any women in the world instead he married a disabled person doesnt that say alot about another, sure couples split but come on ! this must of been love to begin with and she should have respected him for loving her and not her body it could have been a happy parting and they could have remained friends as paul is a top bloke i met him in a street in london many years ago and to be honest being his friend would have been worth more than the money heather got but i feel she has lost the plot some !
tony, melbourne, australia
Any publicity is good publicity? I don't think so, Heather! Get a life and stop flying on Pauls shirt-tails, for goodness sake. Pathetic loser springs to mind!
Deb, Wirral, UK
My God, Sir Paul must miss Linda.
Paul Francis, Brisbane, Australia
Heather Mills may be a touchy lady, but I do sympathise with her. Paul has always been the Golden Boy for the public, and can do no wrong. As a powerful man he knows how to play the media and the judges, you know what I mean, " All men must stick together and these foolish women need teaching a lesson", kind of thing.
There's a suspected wife murderer in America playing the same card - blaming every woman he had a relationship with for leaving him, and claiming PMTs, loose characters, loose morals, etc. Poor Heather's reactions are borne out of absolute impotent frustration at the system and the power held over her.
But I do not believe she should be given any more alimony. She has not contributed to his success and creativity one jot or tittle. Just leave her with her self-respect and some sympathy, please. I can imagine how that smug immaculate lady lawyer must have got under her skin !
EDavies , Manila, Philippines
Actually, he was very good to her-considering what he COULD HAVE SAID. He kept his own counsel for sake of their daughter-which is more than one can say for 'herself.' Being angry is an evergreen condition with her. Even MORE angry because he filed for divorce from her. Hope he has Caller I.D. the hang-up phone calls @ 3:00 in the A:M might be in the making.
Sandy, USA,
The press is certainly at least partly to blame for this ongoing train wreck that people can't seem to turn their eyes away from. They report Heather's every screech, I suspect, just so they can hear the howls of "for God's sake, shut up!" directed at this crazy woman.
I suppose at some point all this will lose its novelty value but who knows when that will be!
gb, Austin, USA
As much as I don't like the media image of Heather Mills, I must agree that she did wonders for the look of Mrs Shackleton!
Paul Severs, London, UK
Heather is 100% magnificent. I hope she remains strong as she fights to clear her good name.
Rose, london, uk
"Carry On Heather " - wouldn't this be the perfect sequel to the old Carry On series.
D Datta, Calcutta, India
When in a hole, stop digging.
Gerald , London,
with her attitude and emotionally deranged outlook on life,
how come the Social Services havent swooped to save poor Beatrice from becoming another unstable child, its only a matter of time, I am surprised Paul has allowed it, or does he know it isonly a matter of time
sid james, lancashire, England
Clearly Heather Mills just wasn't satisified with the money that she received through sheer luck, and quite frankly, pity on the part of the Judge. Therefore she has to persist with her campaign of lunacy.
As many other commenters have pointed out, she should have taken the money and shrunk away into the darkness, and live her life as she would have done before.
But no, she has to continue and make everyone not only think she's barking mad, but full-well know it.
Paul Shephard, Birmingham, UK
heather do us all a favour please and disappear
doug, derby, derbyshire
Perhaps the only way to shup this woman up is for Sir Paul to sue her and that way he could get back all he lost !!!? JUST A THOUGHT !!!!
Ian Payne, WALSALL,
I feel sorry for their daughter in all this. She's the one who is going to have to listen to this tirades for years (been there done that as a child too). I don't care for him all that much, but at least he knows when to shutup and move on. Miss Mills obviously has no clue how to maintain her dignity any longer. Sad
Tk Marvell, Madison, IN
raymond ashley below. your almost as barking as her!
philly moggs, liverpool, uk
Heather - you are boring us ! Go away.
Frances, Braintree, England
I daren't say what I think..Don't want to be taken to court
Brian, Birmingham, England
My goodness there are actually people who think his woman is doing a good thing. That's even more scary than she is. Read the transcript of her appearance of GMTV. She is actually proud of herself and thinks she did a favor by committing assault. She had the chance to show some remorse for commiting an illegal act, but she of course took the low road and took pride in it. Why is she on tv now. She has a job, i'm sure an all expense paid trip to Las Vegas (always spends others money). She wishes Paul's lady friends luck. With this nut around, they will need more than luck, they will need ear plugs. But in reality, this is nothing new, same old rants and raves. Mostly she is just funny, repititious and predictable. The sad part is she has too much contract with her child.
Dana, NJ, USA
If she's that good at remodelling women, what did she need the 24 million for?
Perhaps she should remodel herself - for the sake of poor Beatrice.
leila, manchester, uk
what reputation not nice
billy scrivens, cardiff, uk
What a head case. Heather, yes, DO go back into obscurity where you belong.
Mary, Roystown, USA
Well done Heather for having the bottle to stand up for your self
in a very one sided case but that's what we have all learned over the years regarding the one sided Laws of this Country.
It doesn't matter what you say or what evidence you have the result always turns out the same, siding with those who have the power of their bank books and influences right to the top of this Country whereas the under dog TOUGH!
Raymond Ashley Born and Bred in Liverpool during the second world war, and at my age I can sing far better than he,
who like the rest of them hides behind Recording Studio music. When they can hit top "C" Live then they can claim to be a singer. The Roy Castle Appeal for 4 million for the canser unit in liverpool said it all about him, because it was the people who raised it like we always do.
And the 825,000 was also correct because I have reiterated it for some 15 years because it had never grown?

A pitiful and disturbed woman. She is looking more foolish with every comment.
Riva, Benicia, CA
I think Heather Mills is great! I really admire her for standing up for herself. Paul McCartney has too much money anyway so why should'nt she get a tiny fraction of it even if it does seem like a lot to the rest of us . After all he did marry her. Heather got a taste of how people like Sir Paul lives and I agree with her that she should have got a lot more to continue in the life she was accustomed to. For all her faults I'd sooner have Heather than Rosanna Arquette. Her main claim to fame I believe was Desperately Seeking Susan well that just about sums up Sir Paul.
Rory, Dublin, Ireland
What a sad deranged woman, in total contrast to the lovely Linda McCartney. One has to feel pity for her rather than blame as she will never get the love (or respect) she so desperately seeks.
pat berry, teddington, middlesex
Ms. Mills continues to show her class - about as low as anyone can go! Does she not realize that most of us actually read the judgement rather than just listening to her tirades? It is time for her to start thinking about raising her daughter instead of trying to raise her image. With her daughter she has a chance if she puts her mind to it - with her image she hasn't a hope.
Roger, Hamilton, Bermuda
Oscar Wilde would have had a field day with this nut case of a lady. Turn it off Ms Mills, you did very well for yourself now shrink back into obscurity and wallow in your own self pity
Nathan, London,
"She vowed to continue the battle to restore her reputation,"
Mission accomplished, Heather, Dear.
Your reputation is now firmly entrenched where it "was" when you were a-courting Sir Paul. At least, my opinion remains the same.
dhl
Dan'l, Portland, US
Heather Mills didn't deserve a penny of the money. In fact Paul should have received money from her for having to put up with her lunacy. Move on Heather noboby wants to listen to your rantings.
Paul, Belfast,
Oh, do please just bog off! Dreadful woman.
Mary Allen, London, England
Please go away at once.
I thought that by giving her the amount he did Sir Paul was buying us all peace. It appears that sadly I was mistaken.
Unless it has to do with her charity why can't the media just ignore this woman?
WJB, Brussels,
Another outburst by H.A. making her the laughing stock of the world once again. Why doesn't she ever learn to shut up, button it and maybe we can all forget who she is. I have no admiration for Paul McCartney but at least he knows when to keep his mouth closed.
GIL, bristol, england
Why doesn't she shut up and go away - she's been awarded more money than most people will ever see in their lifetime-plus her child is taken care of - it's a lot more than many women get.
Let Paul Mcartney get on with his own life - and why does the media keep encouraging her "nutty" behaviour - good copy I suppose!.
cwb, calgary, canada
The one song Sir Paul likely doesn't sing in the shower is "All You Need Is Love".
MARK KLEIN, M.D., Oakland, CALIFORNIA
NO, she ainât Mad, neither is she BAD.
I couldnât agree more with Robert Jonson, Paul isnât a SAINT. Indeed he isnât that nice a guy. Trying to destroy His ex-wife, he has emerged worse. It could all have been concluded behind small doors, but he didnât want that. And who says it was for the money, is wrong, only with one year`s interest from his money he could have paid Heather, and emerged as a honourable man. He isnât, and he didnât.
The Same Paul McCartney couldnât praise his then g/friend and later his wife, enough. Every chat show Paul Was saying how Heather has a Hear of Gold, works tirelessly for Landmine Charities even when she is sick or tired and how she ( with her no nonsense approach) inspires Disabled/ amputees and people who have lost limbs, to carry on with their life.
Astrit Patozi, Bergamo, Italia
In my opinion, Heather suffers from a personaltiy disorder and the sooner she gets help for it the happier she will be. £24 million should be able to buy her an uninhabited island somewhere far away where she can rant to her hearts content without feeding the media's insatiable appetite for gossip.
Gill, Bury St Edmunds, Suffolk
Oh for heaven's sake, Ms. Mills, get over it, get a life of your own, and move on. We're tired of you and the only reason you're still out there getting interviewed at all is because your name used to be McCartney. You got the money, you never have to work a day in your life again unless you feel like it, dumping water over his lawyer's head was the act of a petulant, not to say psychotic, 12 year old. Move on, will you?
Elizabeth Renant, Santa Fe, NM, USA
Heehee we all need to feel better about ourselves under the current climate of the credit crunch and crazy world political situation.
Heather Mills has successfully donated herself to a good cause once again - to distract us all and unite us in disbelief and laughter at her pettiness and naivete. Great job as usual Heather! Fab :)
Hillary Clinton must be wishing sooo hard she'd never been such a loved up referee for her on TV.
Corrine, Berlin,
Nutter alert!
Paul Harper, Folkestone, Kent
The word 'harridan' is not sufficient to describe this woman.
Ben Ingledew, Reading,
Give me strength, somebody!
Annie, Cambridge, UK
I admire Heather Mills. She's taken a lot of stick from the Macca spin machine (publicists) and it's good to see her sticking up for herself in the media. I have no doubt that PM is not the faultless, "nice guy" he tries to make out he is.
Robert Johnson, London, UK
Can the papers, tv and any other form of media not give Mills any coverage - please!!! For all our sakes - giving her time and attention is the worse thing possible. Mind you the world should bore of her eventually! Soon though hopefully.
Mike, Brighton, UK
Hang on Paul I will say it for you. Shut up Heather.
Cromwell, Leeds, England
Here she is again, ranting and raving in an explosive and volatile way about how she wasn't 'explosive and volatile' during the hearing.....I for one am not interested in you anymore Ms Mills, or anything you have to say. Please have some dignity and keep your boring rants to yourself, or talk to a therapist.
Paul Cage, Brighton, UK
This woman is mad- I'm afraid that about sums it up for me.
Charlotte, London, UK
"I for one am not interested in you anymore Ms Mills, or anything you have to say."
"Can no one make her shut up?"
But he two people who made these comments were interested enough to read the article - am I missing something?
Al, Weybridge, UQ
I honestly feel sorry for their daughter. If she cares about her as much as she said, then she would stop with the attention-begging media assaults and let their child have a normal life. :( This woman drives me nuts.
Crystal, Alexandria, Rapides, LA
Get over it Heather Mills. No one is interested in you.
jennifer Inman, Gloucestershire, UK
Oh dear. It would appear the young lady has learned little from her time in court, would it not? I wonder if she actually understands the concept of behving with dignity?
elrohana, Leeds, UK
I read the judgement and I don't recall a lot about Beatrice's private information in it... but as Miss Mills said it herself, âthe truth always outs in the endâ. You'd think she would take her own words a bit more seriously!
Franziska E., London,
"I thought she looked fantastic â I thought it did her the world of good and now Iâve been offered lots of jobs for creating looks for women of her age, with these kind of hair-dos."
This kind of sums up Heather's level of sanity for me - she has none. Once again she is claiming people are offereing her jobs. I do not understand why she was not arrested for assault. Can no one make her shut up? She is now a judge on a farce of a beauty contest. Even the promos for it make fun of past contestants (showing one falling and one stumbling over words). Just how low can she sink before it sinks in that she is a loser everytime she opens her mouth?
Barbara, NY , USA
