The woman at the centre of Max Mosley’s S&M libel trial told the High Court today that the secret world of bondage and domination was like a huge family.
“It’s like children playing cowboys and indians, it’s adults having fun,” she said.
Woman A, who cannot be named for legal reasons, was responsible for organising sex parties for Mr Mosley. Today she was in the witness box at the Royal Courts of Justice describing the hidden community of sadomasochists, which has included the son of Sir Oswald Mosley for 45 years.
She told the packed court that she and the other “girls” were very good friends and she had hundreds of photos of them “just giggling and enjoying what we call the scene”.
“When I am being dealt with, just as when I deal with others, there is no maliciousness or anger involved - it is just fun, exciting, an endorphin rush.”
She said she valued the income from the “spanking parties” she organised, but it was not about the money. She and the others enjoyed themselves and their relationship with Mr Mosley, who they called "Mike" to disguise his identity.
Another of the five women filmed taking part in the orgy in Mr Mosley’s flat denied there was anything brutal in their scenarios.
Woman D admitted the spanking could be painful, but not excruciating. “I would rather be doing CP (corporal punishment) a long way over going to the dentist,” she said.
A third member of the party agreed, telling the High Court “It’s a party. It was fun”. While a fourth said the women had joked that they should be paying Mr Mosley for the sessions “because it was such fun”.
That changed, however, when video, pictures and a front-page story appeared in the News of the World describing their S&M session as a “sick Nazi orgy”.
Woman E, who also took part in the orgy, exposed their secret by talking to the newspaper and filming the events with a hidden camera.
The organiser of the party, Woman A, said: “[She] was one of my closest friends before she betrayed me so horribly by going to the newspaper about 'Mike' [Mr Mosley]”.
