The documents that show how Lord Ashcroft, deputy chairman of the Conservative party, lawfully circumvented the ban on overseas donations, apparently to steer money to party funds from the Central American tax haven of Belize:
Bearwood Corporate Service (BCS) donations: the list made by the Electoral Commission of donations made by BCS to the Conservative party since 2002.
The following company documents show how funds from Stargate Holdings, a Belize company, were apparently transferred to the UK via share issues. Some of the monies appear to have been given to the Conservative party.
Extract from the annual accounts of Astraporta UK ending March 2006 which gives some details of the £6m Belize share issue.
Share allotment document which shows how money was apparently moved from Belize to the UK via the selling of shares in Astraporta UK. The apparent buyer of those shares was Stargate Holdings, which is based in Belize.
Details of a second share deal on March 29 2006 in which Stargate Holdings buys more shares in Astraporta UK, thereby transferring more funds to the UK.
Extract from the annual accounts of Bearwood Holdings which gives a brief description of a £5.54m share deal on March 29 2006, which transferred some of the Belize funds to another company
Extract from the annual accounts of Bearwood Corporate Services which gives a brief description of a £4.79m share deal. Again, the original Belize funds are transferred on. Some of these funds appear to have been given to the Conservative party.
