DETECTIVES are investigating a triple murder after a man and two sisters were found shot dead. A nine-month-old baby boy survived but was found covered in blood at a flat in Acton, West London.
Neighbours reported hearing shots at 10.30pm on Thursday, but the three bodies, thought to be a father and his daughters, were not discovered until yesterday afternoon. The baby was taken to a London hospital as a precaution and is now being looked after by Social Services.
The man, aged 62, and the women, 27 and 34, were discovered by a relative who called at the flat in Stilton Crescent.
Neelam Hussain, 36, who lives in the block of flats, said: “It was about 10.30pm, I was lying on the sofa watching a film with my kids when there was a knock at my door. There were three black men stood there and they said they were looking for someone called Kally, or something like that. I said, ‘I don’t know what you mean, there is no one living here called that, there is only me here.’ So I shut the door.
“A few minutes later I heard gunshots. I was still awake at about 2 o’clock, but no police arrived by the time I went to sleep. Then today loads arrived and part of the block of flats was sealed off. It’s terrifying to think what it was that I heard.”
A Scotland Yard spokesman said: “Officers attended and discovered a man and two women. They were pronounced dead. All three deaths are being treated as murder.”
The deaths are being investigated by officers from Operation Trident, who investigate black-on-black gun crime. Armed police are at the scene.
