Faith Central: Jade is heading for hell say Muslim extremists
JADE GOODY was christened today in a hospital chapel along with her two sons in a “very short and emotional service”, according to her publicist Max Clifford.
Clifford said the christening is to be the last thing Goody will do publicly.
The reality TV star, who had her own documentary show charting her battle with cancer, sold the rights to her wedding with Jack Tweed.
She has regularly been pictured leaving hospitals as her condition worsens. It is thought the terminally ill 27-year-old has just weeks to live.
Max Clifford said a wheelchair-bound and a “very pale and fragile” Goody had to be assisted by nurses during the service with her sons Bobby, five, and Freddy, four, at the Royal Marsden Hospital in west London.
Goody was helped into a chair by nurses as her son Bobby sat on her lap with her youngest child, Freddy, sitting on his father's knee.
After the 20 minute service, which began at 11.40am, Goody was taken back to her hospital room so medics could manage her pain.
Her new husband Jack Tweed, mother Jackiey Budden and her sons’ father Jeff Brazier were among about 20 close friends and family at the ceremony.
A single photographer from OK was present at the service, presided over by the Royal Marsden's chaplin, Chris Lee with Corinne Brixton the vicar of Goody's parish church in Buckhurst HIll, Essex.
Goody is to stay in hospital until the end where staff can continue to administer her drugs.
Clifford said he believed she had come to terms with fact she was dying.
