FIVE people have been arrested in connection with the murder of a 15-year-old boy in a fight in south London. Alex Mulumbu was stabbed in the heart after he got off a bus with friends in Lambeth on Thursday night. A gang got into a dispute with Alex before disappearing into an estate and returning to attack the boy. The suspects are two boys aged 14 and one aged 16, and two men aged 18 and 20.

Car-chase death

A TEENAGE boy was killed and his brother injured late on Friday when they were hit by a car that had been pursued by police. Luke Mellor, 14, died at the scene in Sheffield.

Terror arrests

THREE people have been arrested in Malmo, southern Sweden, in an anti-terrorist investigation with British police. The three were questioned and later released without charge.

Blair asked to help artist facing jail

TONY BLAIR has been asked to intervene in the case of Michael Dickinson, a British artist who faces up to three years in jail in Turkey for exhibiting a collage of Tayyip Erdogan, the Turkish prime minister, as a dog being given a rosette by President George W Bush. Dickinson has been charged with “insulting the prime minister’s dignity”.

Naked bike ride

HUNDREDS of naked bike riders took to the streets of London, Manchester, York and Brighton yesterday as part of a global protest against dependence on oil and car culture.

Duke’s birthday

THE Duke of Edinburgh marked his 85th birthday yesterday with a private celebration at Windsor Castle. A royal gun salute was fired at Hyde Park.
