LONDON
A British Muslim has been found guilty of encouraging terrorist murder during a protest against cartoons of the Prophet Muhammad.
Abdul Muhid, 24, led a crowd in Central London chanting “Bomb, bomb the UK”, and produced placards that read “Annihilate those who insult Islam”, the Old Bailey was told. Others read “Fantastic four are on their way” and “3/11 is on its way”, referring to terrorist attacks on London and Madrid.
Muhid, of Whitechapel, East London, was found guilty by a jury on two counts of soliciting murder after a second day of deliberation. He denied the charges. He was remanded in custody by Judge Brian Barker.
Muhid said that he meant to show the “hurt and distress” felt by Muslims after the drawings were published in a Danish newspaper.

Beacuse the media are not interested in reporting on 'good' muslims who show the good and true side of Islam, It does not make for a good story.

What kind of "democracy" has Britain become? You can actually charge someone with "inciting terror" for objectionable speech? I had no idea that Britain had turned into a nanny state. A democracy assumes that citizens are adults, not children in need of protection from nasty ideas or expression.

He should have pleaded guilty, as indeed he was/is and stand resolutely by his public declaration. To pretend otherwise and attempt to squirm out of it, merely reduces him to be an hysterical idiot, albeit a dangerous idiot - and should be thrown out of the country, in any event!

Why are there never any Muslims who actually promote Islam in a positive way?
If I were Muslim, I would be doing everything that I can to show the good sides of Islam. Seems that such an idea never occurred to anyone on either side of the pond.
