Arrested Glasgow airport on Saturday

Dr Abdulla is suspected of being the passenger in the Jeep driven into Glasgow airport on Saturday.

He obtained his medical degree from the University of Baghdad in 2004. Qualified to work in UK since August 5, 2006. Works as a diabetes specialist at Royal Alexandra Hospital, Paisley. Sources told The Times that Dr Abdulla was in contact with Dr Mohammed Asha (below) as their fathers were friends. The pair are thought to have met in Cambridge.

Dr Kafeel Ahmed, 27, also identified as Khalid Ahmed

Held Glasgow airport on Saturday (Technically not under arrest)

He is thought to have been the driver of the burning Jeep at Glasgow airport. The Indian is in a critical condition, with 90 per cent burns.

He is possibly a locum at the Royal Alexandra Hospital, Glasgow. Reports have suggested that he is the brother of Sabeel Ahmed (below), but the police have not confirmed this.

Dr Mohammed Jamil Abdelqader Asha, 26

Arrested On the M6 near Sandbach, Cheshire, on Saturday

Apprehended by police with his wife on the motorway, Dr Asha was born in Saudi Arabia but educated in Jordan and holds Jordanian nationality. He completed medicine degree at the University of Jordan in 2004. Registered to work in the UK from before October 20, 2005.

Formerly of Royal Shrewsbury Hospital and Princess Royal Hospital, Telford, he recently worked as a neurologist at the University Hospital of North Staffordshire, Stoke on Trent. His father said that he studied at the University of Birmingham, but the university denies this.

Residence Lives at Sunningdale Grove, Newcastle-Under-Lyme, with his wife (below) and their son Anas, believed to be between 18 months and 2 and a half years old.

Marwa Dana Asha, 27

Arrested On the M6 near Sandbach, Cheshire, on Saturday

She studied at the public University of Science and Technology in the northern Jordanian city of Irbid. Thought to work as a laboratory technician at Shrewsbury and Telford NHS Trust, although the Trust will not confirm this.

Residence Lives with her husband and child at Sunngindale Grove.

Dr Sabeel Ahmed, 26

Arrested in a car in Liverpool on Saturday night

From Bangalore, India, worked at Halton hospital in Cheshire, the same hospital where Dr Haneef (below) was a locum until 2005. Both men studied medicine at Rajiv Gandhi University of Health Sciences in Bangalore.

Dr Mohammed Haneef, 27

Arrested at Brisbane airport Australia on Monday night (UK time)

The Indian doctor received his medical degree from Rajiv Gandhi University in 2002. He worked as a locum registrar at Halton hospital Runcorn, Cheshire, in 2005, before answering an advert in the British Medical Journal to work in Australia. Arrested with a one-way ticket to Pakistan or India.

Residence Apartment block in Southport on the Gold Coast in Queensland in eastern Australia.

Unnamed men 25 and 28

Arrested Royal Alexandra Hospital, Paisley, Glasgow, on Sunday night.

Both reported to be junior doctors, originally from Saudi Arabia.

Residence Both thought to live in the Royal Alexandra Hospital accommodation.
