COTTINGHAM Two teenagers face life in prison for the beating and shooting of a man for his cash card and pin - they found just 13p.

Stephen Callaghan, 37, was out on a Boxing Day walk on a country lane before being tortured, beaten and shot by Luke Anderson, 17 at the time, and Daniel Sellers, then 18.

He received 60 injuries, including two shots to the head at point blank range. Mr Callaghan’s pin number had been forced from him and he was robbed of his cards. The pair left him for dead after a chase across a field before he fell and was shot in the back of the head.

The pair, who left the scene in Cottingham, East Yorkshire, were heard bragging before they visited a cash machine to raid his accounts. They found 6p and 7p respectively.

A jury took less than three hours to find the teenagers guilty of murder. The pair will be sentenced at Hull Crown Court today.
