Another man died yesterday in a knife attack in West Bromwich, bringing the national death toll on a single day to at least five.
Two people have been arrested over the death of the teenager, who was knifed in a confrontation at a bedsit in Gloucester Road in Edmonton, North London. Officers were called to reports of a fight at the address close to Silver Street railway station at about 2.30pm yesterday.

Hey, I thought the gun ban and total spy cam coverage were supposed to guarantee that Britons continued to enjoy the level of safety their formerly "boring, whitebread" society was world famous for.
It's clearly time to ban knives, including plastic ones (can be sharpened). And blunt objects.

Despite all the opportunities to crack down being missed, the trend relentlessly increases. And as it does so, the crackdown required will become harsher and harsher. We have probably reached the stage now whereby only capital punishment will pull it up short.
