A man died today after being stabbed in north London, police said.
Two men and a woman have been arrested in connection with the 27-year-old’s death, which came less than two days after teenager Frederick Moody was fatally stabbed in the city.
Today’s stabbing happened not far from the scene of the death of 16-year-old Ben Kinsella, whose funeral was held yesterday.
In the latest incident, the Metropolitan Police said they were called to Tufnell Park at 2.50am and found the victim suffering from a stab wound.
He was taken to the Whittington Hospital where he died at about 4am. A post mortem examination will be held at St Pancras Mortuary today and an incident room has opened.
Police said they were keeping an open mind as to any motive.
A 41-year-old man, a 30-year-old man and a 39-year-old woman are being held at separate North London police stations.
Police are also continuing to question a 16-year-old arrested in connection with the death of 18-year-old Frederick Moody, known as Freddy.
A gang of up to eight hooded youths are believed to have lain in wait for him outside his south London home on Thursday evening.
Former school friends said the teenager spent the afternoon at a funfair in west London.
Detectives were investigating whether a row at the funfair led to a street fight and then the fatal stabbing.
Friends of the teenager said he may have been attacked over a minor insult during a water fight at the fair.
One of Freddy’s friends, who gave his name as Babs, left a water gun at the scene of the attack last night.
He said: “The last time I saw him was at the end of this road at around six - he seemed happy. We had been to a water fight, along with many others from around London, at Holland Park.
“The next thing I knew was that he had been stabbed."
