The head of a cyber-grooming cell who recruited the country's youngest terrorist for a “worldwide” holy war has been jailed for 12 years.
Aabid Khan, 23, who was possibly plotting to attack the Royal Family, was a key player in radicalising others. When the former fast-food worker from Bradford met Muhammad Munshi, 15, he enrolled him in his mission to “wipe out non-believers”. The schoolboy sent downloaded details on grenades and detonators to his mentor, and to Sultan Muhammad, 23, his fellow cell member and Khan's cousin, who was jailed for ten years.
The trio, described as a “very real threat” by Jacqui Smith, the Home Secretary, were variously convicted of eight counts of possessing articles for a purpose connected with terrorism and making a record of information likely to be useful in terrorism.
Passing sentence at Blackfriars Crown Court, in Central London, on the two older defendants, Judge Timothy Pontius said that the material police seized was “amongst the largest and most extensive ever discovered” and made the case one of the most serious of its type.
He added that Khan and Muhammad had been convicted on “cogent, compelling and incontrovertible evidence”. Radicalised by their “warped view of Islam”, both had “brought incomparable shame upon yourselves, your families and your religion”.
Munshi will be sentenced next month.

Good. 12 years is not enough. Radical Islam is penetrating all throughout Europe - Britain especially. Watch the anti-radical Islam film "Obsession" and you'll get the picture. It's critical that young people understand that the war on terror must be won.
Tom Freedman, Leeds, UK
Because his target is the royal family, he'll spend the whole 12 years in jail. If it was you or I who was his targets, he'd probably only have got 3 years in the first place. Justice for all, just more for others.
Arthur, Newcastle,
I agree with Paul Nosworthy: we have such an infrastructure in this country that it caters for almost our every need. There is more freedom here than almost anywhere else in the world. The ignorance and arrogance of these miscreants would be curbed if they were made to not take things for granted.
Abdul Majeed, Bradford, West Yorkshire, UK
John Ashcroft US Attorney General at the time of 911 showed he knew much more about Islam than Judge Timothy Pontius by saying the difference between Christianity and Islam is that the God of the Bible sent His Son to die for us, whilst Allah the god of Islam requires Muslims sons to die for him
Paul, Leeds, England
Because there is not the benefits to be had in another muslim country they want this country and its benefits to become muslim one way or another. And it is going perfectly to plan.
paul nosworthy, hornchurch, england
Why cant those Muslim who dislike the Christian way of life in the UK, leave and live in other Muslim country, instead of destroying the live and value of others?? The British people have only themselves to blame. Over generous & political correctnes have destroyed the British community and nation

He should have got life. The british justice system is too weak to punish such chaps as they deserve.

More "enrichment" Mr Brown should be proud! This forced immigration and PC state is just not working!
