Berlusconi's elixir of eternal youth

THE doctor who revealed last month that Silvio Berlusconi had undergone plastic surgery claimed yesterday to have given the Italian Prime Minister “the mental, physical and sexual vigour of a 50-year-old” with an Oriental “elixir of eternal youth”.

Umberto Scapagnini, Signor Berlusconi’s personal physician and a leading endocrinologist, said that the Italian leader was now “technically almost immortal” and would “outlive us all”. Biologically he was 67, but his “real age” was 55, at most. The doctor said that he had discovered the secret elixir on the Silk Road in China and Mongolia, and that it included provitamins, anti- oxidants, enzymes, amino acids and minerals such as magnesium and selenium.

Dr Scapagnini said that he had also put Signor Berlusconi on a diet that included water, fruit and a type of enriched yoghurt. The regime reduces the intake of bread, pasta and alcohol and is accompanied by abdominal exercises and 20 minutes of running a day. “With this regime, you are guaranteed to lose at least seven kilos,” the doctor said.

Signor Berlusconi admitted to a “partial” facelift ten days ago after a month-long absence at his Sardinian villa.
