WORKERS supposedly scorned and maltreated by self-regarding Hollywood stars are fighting back, writes Tony Allen-Mills. Now, it seems, a celebrity can barely utter an imperious demand before someone is mocking them on the internet.

When Jennifer Lopez allegedly made a rude remark to an airline flight attendant, the stewardess posted an account at AirlineCrew.net, a website that encourages professional flight crews to let off steam about passengers behaving badly.

When Barbra Streisand supposedly left a tip of only $10 (£5.30) on a $457 bill for dinner, a restaurant staff member apparently rushed to bitterwaitress.com to add her name to a blacklist called the Shitty Tipper Database.

Among passengers singled out by anonymous aircrew for a dressing down is Barbara Walters, the grande dame of American television, who was accused by one attendant of being “snobby . . . and she lists her dog as a (passenger)”.

An attendant on one of Prince Andrew’s frequent flights claims that “one minute he appears nice enough, the next he treats you like a moron” (but his former wife, Sarah Ferguson, was said by one attendant to be a “luv”).

Another stewardess wrote of Jennifer Lopez: “She yelled at me because I could not make her double espresso and then she told me my shoes looked cheap.” Lopez also achieved a rare double by being cited in the tippers database for allegedly leaving only $1.27 (67p) on a $350 restaurant bill in New York.

Other low tippers are said to include Tom Cruise, Susan Sarandon, Britney Spears and Barry Manilow, who had complained that his flan was “too caramelly”.
