Ms Bhutto is the fourth member of her family to die an unnatural death. Her father, founder of the PPP and former Pakistan Prime Minister Zulfikar Ali Bhutto, was hanged in 1979 by the country's military dictatorship.
Her youngest brother, Shahnawaz Bhutto, died in 1985, aged 28, in his apartment in Nice. His family maintain that he was poisoned. Her other brother, Murtaza Bhutto, was killed in a police shoot-out in Karachi in 1996.
Ms Bhutto's 25 year-old niece, Fatima Bhutto, is Murtaza's daughter. She is a writer for the The News in Pakistan and a harsh critic of her aunt. She called Ms Bhutto "the most dangerous woman in Pakistan" and was vocal in her opposition of Ms Bhutto's return to Pakistan.
Fatima lives in Karachi with her stepmother, Ghinwa Bhutto, Murtaza's widow, and her half-brother, Zulfiqar Bhutto Junior. Ghinwa is estranged from her Bhutto in-laws and runs her own faction of the PPP.
Mumtaz Bhutto, Ms Bhutto's uncle and the head of the 700,000-strong Bhutto clan, has always been hostile to Ms Bhutto because, it is said, he felt it should have been him at the head of the PPP. Most recently, he said Ms Bhutto had betrayed the family name by engaging in talks with President Musharraf.
Ms Bhutto had three children, Bilawal Bhutto, 19, Bakhtawar Bhutto, 17, and Asifa Bhutto, 14. They live in Dubai with Ms Bhutto's husband, Asif Ali Zardari, a highly controversial figure in Pakistan. He has spent a total of 11 years in prison on charges ranging from corruption to murder and is known as "Mr Ten Per Cent" in Pakistan for his alleged habit of extortion.
Ms Bhutto's sister, Sanam Bhutto, born in 1957, is the last remaining child of Zulfikar Ali Bhutto and his wife, and Ms Bhutto's mother, Begum Nusrat Bhutto. Sanam lives in London.
Begum Nusrat Bhutto took control of her husband’s party after his death. She was soon eclipsed by her ambitious daughter and has not been seen in public in recent years because of illness.

She was the Queen of East and one of the best symbol for Pakistanian people.

It is wrong reflection by saying BB was the only educated person. Pakistan has created lots of educated people better than her level.
Well, there are lots of educated women fro UK & USA at PhD level. Some of them were in economics & some of them medical/Scientist. BB was not graduated from Harvard university must have Oxford university.
Bottom line is this that she is recognized from her Father & chosen by people from the family. Other wise, she is as other Pakistani with no mainland.

Its hard to believe reading all the comments, not one person has had the courage to say "Good riddance". And she's made the same mistake of leaving it all behind for her kids to get involved in the sorry saga again, just like she did. Nepotism was never democratic and bares no relationship with Democracy..

This brutal assassination of Ms. Bhutto is strongly condemned by the whole nation alike. She was most certainly the most educated leader Pakistan might have ever had. Despite facing opposition from so many factions, she still succeded. I have heard of many allegations made against her, they might be true or otherwise; from what I have read about her, Ms. Bhutto was not cut out to be what she became (the portrayed "corrupt" politician), I read her being a "fiery and fun" person, a diplomat not a politician, that her father's unnatural death shook her and changed her entire person. I do not know if the allegations made against her are true, but I know one thing for sure that even if they WERE true, I would support Ms. Bhutto because if you snatch a father from his daughter so brutally, what other good reason could there be of the destroying and thus changing of the mindset of a person!

Despite all the charges and allegations against Ms Bhutto, i believe that it is unethical to kill a woman like this. She was certainly the most educated leader Pakistan has ever had, who made a strong impact on all whom she came in contact with. She was a brave and bold woman who risked her life, even when her children are so young. This act by the terrorists should be strongly condemned. May her soul rest in peace.

No matter what her estranged family members may say, Benazir bore the torch of her father & carried his legacy single-handedly to shape up PPP into the most influential party in Pakistan. She succeeded where the sons were expected to fulfill their father's ambition. It is their failure that they couldn't be as effective as her.
