Messages that Japanese police say were posted by Tomohiro Kato from his mobile phone on to an internet message board on the morning of the Akihabara massacre just minutes before he went on his killing spree.

Actually society is the main contributor. You are talking about a country which has a high level of stress and a long-standing culture of suicide. This attack is part of a stream of modern young Japanese murder sprees and suicides. If you read Kato's profile he was pushed too hard by his parents.
Cam, Currumbin, Aus
Can't agree with Matt more. It's easy to blame what you did for someone else. However, at the end of the day, you yourself know best who's responsible.
Liti, Hanoi,
"Wow, seems like the poor guy's parents were his video games"
Strange jump to make considering nothing in this article (or any other source) claims he was a [big] gamer.
Dean, Brisbane,
Wow, seems like the poor guy's parents were his video games. Its so obvious hes mixing fantasy with reality. I guess this is what happens when parents don't pay enough attention to their kids.
Kevin, Gulfport, United States
Umm... you guys aren´t thinking very clearly.
He is crazy. Inevitable?? Yes. Why? Not because of society, because there are all kinds of people in the world. Just because someone is stressed or is lonely doesn´t mean they´re thinking about going out on a massacre. Think about what you´re saying
Matt, USA,
Ok first of all Andrew is only kinda right not trying to be mean here , the goverment should be checking on this stuff but the are all retards i mean come on dont tell me you dont see that anyway Kato does have some problems but it is not all his fault it is also his parents.i so have more to say
lydia oliver, goodland, kansas
Heobviously has issues,
it is the fault of the society that we live in, too many pressures from all directions and little help for those that need it.....
Its almost invevitable that these things happen why do governments not recognise this and offer free help and assistance to those that need it
