An anti-government protester has been killed and another 22 wounded in a grenade attack on a Bangkok airport.
The explosion at Don Mueang airport, which has been occupied by members of the Peoples Alliance for Democracy (PAD) for the last week comes ahead of a crucial court decision on the future of the besieged government.
Emergency services confirmed that a 29-year-old man had died from shrapnel wounds.
Weekend bomb attacks on PAD protesters occupying government House had prompted them to end their three month sit in at the prime minister's offices and join their fellow protesters at Bangkok's main Suvarnabhumi airport and the smaller Don Mueang.
The airports have been closed for a week as PAD militants increased their efforts to topple the government of Somchai Wongsawat, the PrimeMinister, promising a 'fight to the death' to gain their ends.
PAD accuses Mr Somchai's administration of running the country on behalf of former premier Thaksin Shinawatra, who was ousted in a coup in 2006 and currently lives in exile abroad to escape corruption charges.
The blast at Don Mueang came hours before hundreds of pro government supporters sealed off Bangkok's Constitutional Court, forcing it to move.
Judges will decide as early as this afternoon whether to dissolve the three party coalition government for electoral fraud.
Pro-government supporters, wearing their signal red shirts and headbands reading "Love Thaksin' have gathered en masse around the court building, setting up makeshift stages on trucks.
They are faced off against hundreds of police and soldiers who are deployed around the building as fears of violent clashes between pro and anti government supporters grow.
Even before the Court announces its verdict, government MPs have declared it a "coup in disguise" and promised their supporters will oppose it.
Mr Somchai will be forced to step down and banned from politics for five years along with all other leaders of his People's Power Party and executives if the court dissolves the PPP.
Some government MPS say they will join another party and form a government if the coalition is dissolved.
But PAD protesters, made up of the wealthy middle-class and the business elite may try for a new administration which will favour their 'new politics', restricting voting rights and appointing MPS by interest groups rather than elections
