I am not a believer in France's 35-hour work week or in the excesses of certain unions, but those things notwithstanding, France's workers are the most productive in Europe, and if it weren't for the militancy of the French labor unions, European workers would be far worse off than they are today. Sarkozy has some points in his favor, and I agree that "Neanderthal" is a poor description for a little dancing media clown.

This man is the first President to challenge France's labor unions to end the practice of not allowing the sorry/stupid/un-productive workers to be fired, ending the 35 hour work week, and allowing those that work over 40 hours to have no income witholding tax for those hours after 40. Damn, I'd work 80 hours a week if I could take home 100% of the last 40 hours pay!

I have great respect for Nicholas Sarkozy for his acknowledgment and respect for our country, and the greatness and the generosity of our people and way of life. He has a very difficult job in his attempts to get his country back on track of greatness also, I wish him well.
