O.J. Simpson will be forced to get up at 4am every day, dress in a prison jumpsuit, and be separated from all other inmates throughout his time in detention, it was disclosed today.
A checklist giving details of the disgraced former American footballer's confinement was released by the prison in Las Vegas in which he is being held after he was arrested for allegedly orchestrating an armed robbery last week.
The factfile goes into minute detail about the humiliation facing the 60-year-old at Clark County Detention Centre, including giving details of his exact confinement and leisure times per day, and what he eats for his meals.
Along with its checklist, the prison has also released a series of pictures of the cell in which he is being held, the area in which he will be allowed to exercise for three or four hours per day, and his bodysuit.
In its statement, the Las Vegas Metropolitan Police Department says that the one-time star will receive no special luxuries or favours during his time at Clark County, which houses a total of 3,000 inmates, and will be forced to wear the "standard inmate clothing".
"Simpson has been classified as a protective custody/isolation inmate, which mean Simpson keep (sic) from the general inmate population," it continues.
"Simpson will remain in his room while other inmates of the housing unit are on free-time, when the other inmates go in for lock down Simpson will come out for free time. Simpson is currently housed with 36 other inmates.
"Simpson will receive 3 to 4 hours of free time per day, this time will be spent alone."
The star's conditions are described in detail. "Simpson's cell is 7' x 14' and consist of a bunk, toilet, sink and small desk. There is a window to allow direct sunlight into the room as well as normal florescent lighting," the statement continues.
It goes on to detail the early starts Simpson will have to make as part of his life behind bars. "Breakfast approximately 4am, lunch 10am, and dinner 4pm," it says.
The statement goes on to add that:
* His breakfast every day will consist of fruit, a cup of toasted oats, sausage hash, bread, margarine, and coffee. Lunch will be spaghetti, a meat patty, green beans, two slices of white bread, a biscuit and a fruit drink. Dinner will be casserole, rice, garden salad, two slices of bread, margarine, marble cake and a fruit drink.
