Tony Blair may have hated his title as America’s poodle but, perhaps emboldened by retirement, he was happy to be filmed for this year’s Bush family Christmas video deep in conversation with the President’s pet dogs.
The former Prime Minister makes a special guest appearance in the kitsch annual Barney Cam film released by the President. Barney and Miss Beazley, two dogs who live in the White House, are the video’s stars.
The plot of the two-minute movie sees the dogs take a break from arranging Christmas decorations in order to realise their shared ambition to work as park wardens.
“Congratulations Barney and Miss Beazley on becoming Junior Park Rangers. Well done,” Mr Blair tells the Scottish terriers in a dream sequence.
“As someone who was born in Edinburgh, Scotland – it’s always good to see the Scots doing well.”
It is unknown whether political speechwriters or professional comedians drafted the script.
As well as Mr Blair, Britain’s longest serving Labour prime minister, the cast included the President, Laura Bush, his wife, and their daughters Jenna and Barbara.

Well the acting was lame, the script was worse, Tony got the best line(shocking to see how he's aged since leaving us). The two daughters made realise that not everything Bush turns his hand to turns out so disappointing.
