Meghan O'Rourke “Her problem wasn't that she was a feminist. Her problem was that she wasn't feminist enough ... While Obama went on rhetorical flights about hope, she compared herself to the hyper-masculine Rocky Balboa — an underdog, to be sure, but a stoic one who keeps getting up. She played the men's game so well that James Carville [one of Clinton's advisers] eventually quipped: ‘If she gave Obama one of her cojones, they'd both have two.'”
Shock jock Rush Limbaugh “I was watching this last night, and I was going nuts, she's burning down the house. Unity schmunity. Divided we are, this was Mrs Clinton's message last night. She wants to grab as many people on her website urging her to keep going, to stay in this, so she can show that to the Obama people. She's talking about her 18 million votes which is as much, if not a little more, than he got. So clearly she's angling for something, and she needs public support in order to get it ... These are the Clintons. They are never going away, folks, no matter what happens here.”
Roger Simon “Her fighting words only increased the need for Obama to show that he can be strong, tough and in charge. Clinton's unwillingness to recognize Obama as the victor only increased the need for Obama to act like a president and not like a doormat. And denying her a vice presidential slot may be a way of doing that.”
Mike Madden “This is how it goes in politics. Even if you're a Clinton, the day after you lose your allies and enemies alike are ready to move on. The rest of the week may be excruciating for Clinton ... but surely it would be better to bow out on her own terms, rather than to wait around for even her closest friends and allies to push her.”
Pennsylvania Governor Ed Rendell, one of Mrs Clinton's top supporters “There's no bargaining. You don't bargain with the presidential nominee. Even if you're Hillary Clinton and you have 18 million votes, you don't bargain.”
Jay Cost “Obama supporters need to recognize that their candidate is the victor not because he put together a majority coalition, but because he outmanoeuvred Clinton. This was a highly intelligent strategy, but it was not a grand feat of majority building. Obama supporters need to recognize that their candidate won not because ‘the people had their say', but because his campaign out-smarted her campaign. Accordingly, they need to respect the candidate whom they could not beat in a straight-up fight for votes.”
Bob Cesca “What happens if she isn't offered the vice presidential slot? Will she continue to stomp her feet and draw attention away from the nominee? Yes she will. Will she carry her campaign (in name and support only) to the convention? Yes she will. Will she continue to distract attention away from challenging Senator McCain's awfulness? Yes she will. So should she be offered the vice presidential slot, then? No she shouldn't. Because a would-be Obama-Clinton campaign would end up being entirely about the Clintons.”

I don't understand why Hillary supporters didn't get it after Super Tuesday. She has never taken the delegate lead since that day - of course, she IS the one that said it would "all be over" on February 5th. From her side of the house, she was right - it was over!
