After only four competitive games in charge, McClaren's role as head coach is already being questioned.
His decision to drop David Beckham, the former captain, received widespread condemnation at the time - and is even more questionable now. With nobody able to deliver a decent free-kick or corner, is it time for McClaren to swallow his pride and bring back the Real Madrid midfield player?
And what about McClaren himself? Should he and Terry Venables, his assistant, swap places? Is McClaren up to the job?
Then there is Paul Robinson. His air shot that led to Croatia's second goal was the type of blunder you see in schoolboy football. The ball definitely took a bobble but the goalkeeper is ultimately in charge of the penalty area. So was he to blame and, if so, who should be picked in his place?
England are now second in Group E and have played a game more than Croatia and Israel. Will they qualify? What changes need to be made if England are to be involved in Euro 2008?

steve is just useless and has a big ego. Why exactly did he treat Becks in that way. The man has carried the flag of England all this time and people like steve waited to make history through him. There is no way he can ever justify what he did. He must hve hated Becks and other players like James. If he doesn't, haven't they done enough to be recalled. I will never respect steve and I can openly say he is NOT the man for England...

beckham should never have been axed in the first place, mcclaren just wanted to generate media interest for his own overrated ego and not a football decision at all.
Can anyone actually say that the quality of englands game has got better since beck's departure? There is only one answer to that, Not even remotely.
capello wanted his head on a stick a few weeks back, but beck's just bounced back and saved his job for him!!
bring him back now and lets start looking for MR mcclaren's replacement asap!
