England have confirmed they will not alter their tour arrangements in Sri Lanka following a suicide bombing in Colombo.
The England squad, who had been playing a warm-up match against a President's Board XI in the city, left their hotel at 8.30am, less than one hour before the fatal explosion in Colombo's southern suburbs.
An elderly disabled woman detonated a device outside the residence of Douglas Devananda, Sri Lanka's welfare minister, killing the minister's personal secretary and injuring two security personnel.
"We have spoken to the High Commission in light of the bomb. There has been no change in the travel advice we have received from them, at this stage, and it has no effect on the tour arrangements," an England spokesman said.
"We always keep the tour itinerary and security arrangements under review and we won't be complacent during the tour."
Officials in Sri Lanka said the Tamil Tigers were responsible and confirmed the bomber had died in the blast. England play the first Test of their Sri Lanka tour in Kandy starting on December 1.
