Kevin Pietersen has insisted there was "no way in the world" he would jeopardise his England career to chase quick money in Indian Premier League.
The rise of the mega-bucks IPL and its unofficial counterpart - the rebel Indian Cricket League - has led to a host of top players from all over the world signing up to take part.
There are no current England internationals involved in either competition - with only the likes of Paul Nixon, Darren Maddy, Vikram Solanki and Chris Read taking part in the first round of ICL fixtures.
But Pietersen, a flamboyant batsman whose attacking style makes him a top attraction in one-day cricket, has rebuffed suggestions he could make the move.
"There's no way in this world I'd turn my back on England," Pietersen said. "I know there is interest and, yes, there have been offers, but it's not something I'm particularly interested in.
"Money's not really too important, it's not as if I need money right now. I'm really enjoying doing what I'm doing."
The England and Wales Cricket Board have this week suggested that English players may be putting their county careers at risk if they join the IPL which clashes with the start of domestic cricket season.
Lalit Modi, organiser of the IPL where the top salaries have reached £800,000, yesterday claimed England players were interested and suggested a schedule change could be implemented to accomodate them.
However, Pietersen spent four years qualifying for England after leaving his native South Africa and is desperate to repay in full the faith shown in him by his adopted country.
"I love playing for England, I love playing for the spectators," he added. "England has given me a fantastic opportunity to a fantastic life at the moment.
"So I'm fully committed 100 per cent to playing for England, to winning games for England, to scoring thousands more runs for England. I love playing for England and there will be nothing that will lure me away from England just yet.
"I'm really enjoying what I'm doing. It's a great challenge, challenging myself against the best players in the world in Test and one-day cricket."
