England cricketers should not break their domestic contracts to join the Indian Premier League (IPL) next season according to IS Bindra, the competition's co-founder.
Several of England's key players, including Kevin Pietersen, have expressed an interest in joining the lucrative tournament, which has attracted many of the world's top names.
There has been speculation that some England players could refuse to sign new contracts in September in order to play, but Bindra has called for the organisations to work together to solve the problem.
"That solution is not acceptable to us. We will not have any player revolting against their establishment and becoming part of the IPL," Binda said.
The England and Wales Cricket Board have already made it clear no contracted England players will be permitted to play in the Twenty20 league, the inaugural season of which begins on Friday.
And Bindra is planning to meet Giles Clarke, the ECB chief, when he travels to India this week for the IPL's inauguration ceremony on Thursday.
"We don't want to be a rebel league, we want to be part of the system with the support of the ECB," Bindra added. "We are looking forward to meeting Giles Clarke and other members of the ECB. We can make adjustments, we can postpone our league by a couple of weeks.
"If we can find a solution, it will be in the interests of everyone involved, including the players."
