A day of twists and turns for both sides, what were your thoughts?
It just seemed that both sides have almost settled for a draw. The way India came off for bad light showed there was much inclination to push things on for victory from their point of view.
Kevin Pietersen said last night that a draw was the best England could have hoped for if they didn't get close to India, which of course they didn't this morning, so you just get the feeling that the series is drawing gently to a close.
India may have prevented England winning the game, but possibly at the cost of winning it themselves. Were you disappointed by their attitude?
Well there's a couple of things to consider here. England bowled really well, especially after tea. The pitch got a bit slower and a bit lower, which made it difficult for someone like Gautam Gambhir, who is not really a big hitter, to really push it along. You can make excuses for Sachin Tendulkar, who has struggled to get back up to his best after what he did in Madras, which is perfectly understandable.
Sometimes batting in the third innings is difficult, as England found in Madras, you're not quite sure how to balance the innings, but generally yes, they clearly lacked a bit of ambition today.
How will India approach tomorrow, is there any prospect of a result?
They will probably look to have a couple of sessions at England. It is very difficult to see how MS Dhoni [the India captain] will set England anything, given the recent events and successful big run chases. So he will be pretty cautious.
India will get through to lunch and then have couple of sessions at England, knowing they can't lose the game, and basically hope that his bowlers can come up with something special to force the victory.
From England's point of view, will it be difficult for the players to motivate themselves?
There are days in Test cricket where you go into them knowing that you can't win, but that you can lose.
So that's enough motivation to keep them going and if they come out of this game with a draw then they will be perfectly happy with that, given that they lost the toss.
