Impossible scenes in that last over. No idea what Dhoni was doing and for once the boos are totally deserved as he trudged back to the pavilion. Panesar was looking distraught after the terrible missed catch, but Dhoni inexplicably gave him a second bite at the cherry and the England youngster held on. Really, really baffling. Anyway, Harbhajan Singh is in.

Extraordinary scenes. Having gone for a massive slog and skying it then watching Panesar dropping it in the deep, Dhoni does precisely the same thing again. It's utter suicide - he takes a needless swipe at another Udal delivery and sends it miles into the sky again. This time Panesar is properly underneath it and takes the catch at long off. Dhoni needs shooting - what on earth he is thinking of is completely beyond everyone - but Panesar is reprieved and England are going to win this one now.
