Squad updates, LV County Championship Division One
Games scheduled to start at 11am
Surrey v Kent, Whitgift School
Surrey welcome back Pakistan international Azhar Mahmood to their 12-man squad for their clash at home to Kent.
The all-rounder has recovered from a back injury which has kept him out of action for several matches and takes the place of Richard Clinton. Ian Salisbury continues in place of fellow leg-spinner Chris Schofield, while James Benning misses out. Mohammad Akram is again pressing for a place in the starting XI.
Kent have named an unchanged 12-man as veteran spinner Min Patel has not recovered from injury, allowing James Tredwell to retain his place. Rob Joseph will challenge Simon Cook for the final seamer's spot after missing out in last week's draw with Hampshire.
Sussex v Lancashire, Hove
Andrew Flintoff has been named in Lancashire's 14-man squad. The England all-rounder is hoping to prove his fitness after missing the first two Tests against West Indies with ankle trouble.
The 29-year-old sat out back-to-back Friends Provident Trophy matches over the weekend as a precaution but has been practising in the nets and is now hoping to step up his return.
Lancashire are without seamer Glen Chapple due to a hamstring strain. Stuart Law, the former Australia batsman, is available again after recovering from the calf problem that kept him out of the drawn game with Worcestershire a fortnight ago.
Spinner Gary Keedy and all-rounder Tom Smith are also named in the squad, which includes England bowlers James Anderson and Sajid Mahmood.
Mike Yardy, the England A captain, is poised to make his comeback for Sussex. The left-hander made 56 for Hastings in the Sussex League on Saturday after five weeks out with a broken finger. Andrew Hodd will continue to deputise for England wicketkeeper Matt Prior behind the stumps.
