FC PORTO v MANCHESTER UNITED

While United lament Arsenal’s big Premiership lead, they must face another side unbeaten in their league. Porto beat Vitoria Guimaraes 3-0 at home to move eight points clear in Portugal but Derlei, their striker, is injured.
CELTA VIGO v ARSENAL

Arsenal are heading for a probable league title but Celta fear relegation after losing 2-0 at home to Málaga. The Spaniards have Silvinho, the former Arsenal left back, in their ranks.
VFB STUTTGART v CHELSEA
Wednesday, 7.45pm, Gottlieb-Daimler Stadium
Stuttgart, third in Germany, must shrug off a 1-0 loss away to 1FC Kaiserslautern as they seek revenge for defeat by Chelsea in the 1998 Cup Winners’ Cup final. Chelsea are also third in their league after losing to Arsenal.
REAL SOCIEDAD v LYONS
Wednesday, 7.45pm, Anoeta Stadium
Sociedad, struggling after coming second in La Liga last season, lost 1-0 away to Seville to stay in the bottom half of the table. Lyons beat Le Mans 2-0 and trail Monaco, the French leaders, by four points.
DEPORTIVO LA CORUÑA v JUVENTUS
Wednesday, 7.45pm, Riazor Stadium
Juventus, many people’s European Cup favourites, remain third in Serie A after a 1-0 win away to Bologna. Deportivo La Coruña hold the same position in La Liga after a goalless draw away to Atlético Madrid.
