Nottingham Forest had seen their comfortable lead at the top of League One cut over recent weeks after a run of four matches without a win, so victory here was crucial. They had to fight back to achieve it, though. Rory Fallon headed in Andy Robinson’s corner to put Swansea in front. James Perch equalised with a shot from 12 yards, before Kris Commons, who made the opening goal, fired in from a similar distance. Junior Agogo lobbed in the third as Forest extended their lead at the top to three points
Nottingham Forest: Smith, Morgan, Curtis, Breckin, Southall, Clingan, Gary Holt, Perch, Grant Holt, Commons, Agogo
Swansea: Oakes, Tate, Iriekpen, Lawrence, Williams, Britton, Pratley, Way, Robinson, Knight, Fallon

Rotherham 2 Millwall 3
Hoskins 30 Haynes 45, pen 86
Sharps 40 Dunne 90
Rotherham, who started the season 10 points off the pace after their deduction for going into administration, were four minutes from moving off the bottom of League One. A win against Millwall, who had lost all five previous away games, would have taken the London into the basement slot. A Will Hoskins volley gave Rotherham the lead. Ian Sharps added to that with a header. But Millwall came back, twice through Danny Haynes, the first a penalty after Sharps’ foul on Marvin Williams, and then Alan Dunne’s last-minute header
Rotherham: Cutler, Wiseman, Mills, Sharps, Robertson, Woods, Cochrane, Williamson, Keane, Hoskins, Taylor
Millwall: Pidgeley, Ross, Robinson, Shaw, Craig, Dunne, Elliott, Fuseini, Williams, Hubertz, Haynes

Hartlepool 3 Wrexham 0
Daly 20, 22, 68
Hartlepool came into this match having scored nine goals in two matches, while Wrexham had conceded 16 goals in five, including five apiece at Accrington and Stockport. Taking into account that the past two meetings between these sides were won 5-1 by Wrexham and 6-4 by Hartlepool, goals were expected. Hartlepool’s Jon Daly, who had scored twice in each of his previous two games, went one better with a hat-trick — the first a header, the second a close-range shot and the third another header
Hartlepool: Konstantopoulos, D Williams, Nelson, Clark, Brackstone, Gibb, Boland, Liddle, Robson, Porter, Daly
Wrexham: Ingham, Spender, S Evans, D Williams, Valentine, Roche, Mark Jones, Crowell, Done, Llewellyn, McAliskey

Hereford 1 Macclesfield 0
Connell 90
Hereford’s competent start to their first season back in the league has faltered in recent weeks with four defeats from five matches. The visit of League Two’s bottom club Macclesfield seemed a likely tonic, especially as Brian Horton’s side had yet to win a match this campaign. Macclesfield, though, had been playing well recently and Hereford had to fight hard to get the breakthrough, which came 10 minutes from time when Alan Connell turned on the edge of the box to drive in the winner
Hereford: Brown, Beckwith, Mkandawire, Giles, McClenahan, Rose, Connell, Purdie, Travis, Fleetwood, Williams
Macclesfield: Lee, Teague, Scott, Swailes, McNulty, Regan, Morley, Navarro, McIntyre, Tipton, Bullock
