Dida
A very calm, relaxed goalkeeper and he displays that all the time during the game. Dida’s tranquillity transmits a feeling of safety for our defenders as well as to the rest of the team. He is tall and cool-headed, and those are two of the most important qualities for a top-level goalkeeper.

Massimo Oddo
Oddo arrived at Milan during the winter transfer window and he has been a great acquisition. He has won the World Cup and is used to playing in big games. Although I’ve been fighting with him for the right-back position, we get along very well off the pitch. It is a tough, honest and nice dispute.

Paolo Maldini
He is our captain and an absolute leader in all areas of the pitch. Paolo is a reference point for us, both as a player and as a person. Playing at such a high level at this stage of his career shows his character and professionalism. He is a true example for everyone to follow.

Alessandro Nesta
Alessandro hasn’t played that much this season because he has been unfortunate with injuries but he is another leader for us in the defence and he uses all his experience. He has played in the World Cup finals and he is an important piece in our jigsaw ahead of this match.

Marek Jankulovski
Marek started the season by having lots of ups and downs, but right now he is holding the left-back position as his own and he’s rock steady. He has become one of the regular starters in our team. Marek is very offensive and his style is very similar to ours – Brazilian full backs that is!

Gennaro Gattuso
He is very, very important for us, tactically and in terms of leadership on the pitch. It is almost as if we have 12 players on our side when he’s there because Gattuso seems to be everywhere. He helps his teammates, he fights for every ball, he shouts, he tackles – he does everything.

Massimo Ambrosini
Massimo’s been playing a lot for us lately and he makes our midfield more solid when the coach decides to use him. His attacking headers have proved to be decisive in many games as he’s scored several winning goals for us in the league. For me, heading is his main strength as a player.

Andrea Pirlo
Pirlo is our engine – the leading player in our midfield. He is not afraid of his responsibility and looks for the ball all the time to start moves from our defence. He also looks for the ball in forward positions too, to finish off moves. If he is playing well, usually the rest of the team does well too.

Clarence Seedorf
Seedorf is capable of deciding a match alone if he is playing well. The Milan supporters were bothering him recently and gave him some stick, but they stopped a month ago when he raised his performances. He’s got a very strong personality and I am sure he will be important for us in this final.

Kaká
There is not much to talk about with Kaká as it is best to just sit back and watch him play! For me he is one step ahead of the other top-class footballers. His quickness of thinking is special and he doesn’t seem to stop developing. I hope he gets the Golden Ball at the end of the year. He deserves it.

Alberto Gilardino
Gila is still a youngster so we will have to wait a little bit longer to know his true potential. He is an unpredictable player, able to do some amazing things in one game and totally disappear in the next one. I believe he will develop into a great player in the future though.

Filippo Inzaghi
I have lost count of the number of goals that Pippo has scored for Milan in Europe! He is always there when we need him, always very well positioned inside the box, and ready to put the ball into the back of the net. Inzaghi is one of those reliable strikers every team needs.

Daniele Bonera
Daniele has only been here one season and unluckily for him he hasn’t had the chance to play much. He is still young but for me he will end up being one of the very best defenders in Italian football. He is a good replacement for Maldini, and a future starter for Milan without any question.

Kakha Kaladze
For me, Kaladze stepped up a level when he began to be used as a central defender, instead of as a left back. He hasn’t been playing that much lately, but he is another player who we know we can trust ahead of this tough Champions League final. He won’t let us down.

Yoann Gourcuff
He is very good and very, very talented. You only need five minutes watching him training to figure it out. However, Gourcuff is still too young and needs time to develop as a player. He needs to be worked with by the coaches technically and mentally to become, in the future, a great striker.
