Uefa Champions League
Tuesday
Steven Gerrard has been declared fit to lead Liverpool in their Champions League semi-final first leg at home to Chelsea.
He trained today at Melwood, and afterwards Rafael Benitez was able to confirm that the 27-year-old had recovered from the neck injury which ruled him out of Saturday's Premier League win at Fulham.
Benitez confirmed that he has no new injury problems, with Daniel Agger and Harry Kewell both out long-term. The Spanish coach made eight changes at Craven Cottage, with Fernando Torres on the bench, however, the club's top scorer will face Chelsea, alongside Alvaro Arbeloa, Ryan Babel, Dirk Kuyt and Xabi Alonso - all of who were left out against Fulham.
Frank Lampard has rejoined Chelsea's squad for the trip to Anfield. The Chelsea vice-captain has missed the past two matches to be at the bedside of his mother Pat, who is ill in hospital with pneumonia.
Chelsea are still without Carlo Cudicini (hamstring) and Didier Drogba remains doubtful with a knee complaint. Michael Essien is suspended for the first leg.

Wednesday
Manchester United v Barcelona
Edwin Van der Sar is in line to return to the Manchester United team for the Champions League semi-final first leg against Barcelona tomorrow. The Holland goalkeeper travelled to Spain with the rest of the squad this morning after missing the draw against Blackburn Rovers because of a groin strain.
Wayne Rooney suffered a hip injury in that match but he too joined the squad and looks certain to feature at the Nou Camp.
Owen Hargreaves and Anderson are also in contention after they were ruled out of the game at Ewood Park with minor injuries. Gary Neville made his first trip abroad in a year after a long-standing ankle problem while Darren Fletcher was also in the party as he continues his recovery from a knee injury.
Thierry Henry was unable to take part in training on Monday morning because of illness. The France international, who was an unused substitute in Saturday's goalless league draw against Espanyol, was suffering from a fever and it remains to be seen if he will be fit in time for the visit of Manchester United.
Ronaldinho, Lilian Thuram, Jose Edmilson and reserve goalkeeper Albert Jorquera, were also absent. Ronaldinho and Jorquera are both injury absentees, while Edmilson remained in the gym with a back problem.
Meanwhile, Oleguer Presas has been given the all clear to return to action after recovering from a hand injury.
Manchester United (from): Van der Sar, Neville, Evra, Hargreaves, Ferdinand, Brown, Ronaldo, Anderson, Rooney, Giggs, Park, Vidic, Carrick, Nani, Scholes, Pique, O'Shea, Fletcher, Silvestre, Kuszczak, Tevez, Heaton, Welbeck.
