Cristiano Ronaldo says the current Manchester United squad can become the greatest team the club has ever had, but they must prove it by winning trophies.
The Portugal international has been a cornerstone of United’s success this season, spearheading the club’s challenge domestically and in Europe. And as the season draws to a thrilling climax, the winger believes the next month will provide “a definite answer" to the question all the fans are asking.
Sir Alex Ferguson, the Manchester United manager, revealed recently that this year’s squad was the best "in terms of completeness" he has had since taking control at Old Trafford in 1986. However, while Ronaldo agrees that while the current crop of players is talented he says they need to bring home the silverware to prove it.
"It makes me feel good. He [Ferguson] has been at the club for 17-20 years, he has signed great players, incredible goalscorers," Ronaldo said.
"I also think that this is the most talented team, but you can only confirm this at the end of the season, seeing what the team has won. Game after game we have shown that we have a fantastic team, with a lot of talent and magnificent players, but at the end of the season we will be able to provide a definite answer if this team is the best Manchester United side of all time.
"If we win the Champions League or the Premier League we will have a better idea."
United have been declared favourites ahead of the match at the Nou Camp, but Ronaldo is taking nothing for granted.
Ronaldo said: "At this stage there are no easy games. They are all very important matches where the pressure is very high for both teams and you need the maximum concentration. Our objective is to win as quickly as possible. We will play to find the best result in the Nou Camp. I want to win."
The winger also talked about sharing the limelight with Lionel Messi.
"Messi is a very good player. It is a pleasure to play with players like him. We seem similar - we always want to score and win.”
Patrice Evra, who may have to mark Messi on Wednesday, says this week could
"We have a tough game in Barcelona and then the chance to win the title at Chelsea,” Evra said."We must enjoy these games. There is pressure and we have to win but we must also enjoy these moments.
"It will be hard but we have the team to go and win. We are ready to go there and win. We have the destiny in our hands. We must be professional. Our team is always confident. We go to Barcelona in the same confident mood we go into all matches. We can enjoy our game over there in Spain.”

I belive that MAN U would go to Barcelona with much care , because the Barca can be a team hurt wihtout other goal that the champions league. And this can be more dangerous.

Hey Barrie
You can only beat the available opposition........if the other teams under achieve in the points.

Absolute rubbish from the diving master.
The Chelsea side of 05/6 are far superior in all aspects, and had they had a decent manager this year would have won the EPL again.
Barcelona will still beat them, and once again at the highest level they will be found wanting.

or it also means that they were also awesome last season

IF Man U win ALL their remaining games, they will only have one point more than last season. Hardly a sign of greatness is it?
